Arrived as advertised. Very minor imperfections (like if you put your eyeball up to it some of the tiny dots might not form a straight line) but otherwise looks exactly as in the photo so I'm not taking off any points for that. Probably also my favourite of the Meinl artisan doumbek designs. Sounds great, feels nice to use, and it's felt worth every penny :)

I have played other Meinl Atrisan series darbuka and I think the sound quality is more or less same.So I think the price difference is coming from the design.This very beautiful darbuka simply makes me happy to see on my lap.Because of that, I play more often.Playing more often makes good player faster.I have another darbuka from Turkish maker and it also sounds nice.Design is also good and price is less than half.But this one is more beautiful and I have more motivation to play darbuka.

Assez conséquents en prix surtout pour la référence AEED3. Très belle finition lourde pour un son profond bonne sonorité! Le cerclage pour accorder (6tirants) est très épais . Je recommande un accordage tendu pour un dum/tek/tak...Puissant. Si vous souhaitez changer de peau spécifique à la derbouka ou doumbek,type Remo Skindeep ou melitello, voici les mensurations pour les références AEED1...2...3. 8.75 ou 8.3/4
