This Meike extension tube is made of 100% steel and is well constructed. I use it on my Lumix S5 with a Panasonic 70-200 f4 lens for macro photos of rocks, plants, and an occassional bug. I'm a professional photographer who photographed cosmetics for 20 years, so I have high standards even for my personal projects.

Premesso che l'ho usato poco devo dire che lato qualità per le foto non è male. Necessita dei soliti accorgimenti da adottare per tutte le fotografie macro. Quindi pulite bene il vetro, avere tanta luce etc. Ho dato solo 3 stelle perché purtroppo ho avvitato uno dei tappi del tubo prolunga sul lato sbagliato ed è rimasto incastrato senza che riuscissi in alcun modo a toglierlo senza danneggiare il tubo. Lato costruttivo quindi da rivedere...

Con questo tipo di adattatori è difficile fare male, questo tubo distanzia semplicemente l'obiettivo dal sensore della macchina fotografica. Non ha nessun tipo di vetro o ulteriori strati che possono peggiorare la qualità dell'immagine, gli incastri sono ben realizzati e la solidità sembra buona, tanto buona da reggere un 24-105. Un prodotto nel complesso ben realizzato ma troppo costoso per la sua semplicità, la versione per panasonic costa circa il doppio rispetto alle altre della stessa marca e questo è un minus importante.

Ich habe die Adapter für meine Panasonic s5 bestellt. Vom Verschluss sitzen die Adapter perfekt . Es gibt kein Spielraum. Die Kommunikation zwischen Kamera und Objektiv funktioniert mit dem Adapter ebenso einwandfrei. Kann dieses Produkt mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

There's all kinds of different photographic equipment in the world and none may be less interesting than adapter rings. It's not that they're not useful--they very much are. It's just that in my experience they either work well or don't work at all. Not a lot of middle ground. This particular mount is especially simple--it extends the length of your lens for macro photography. I tried it on my Panasonic Lumix camera and it worked just fine. It's very well made and connects the lens to the camera very securely. Highly recommended!

Having used a Viltrox 36mm (12 + 24) set for a good while, I can say that I like the build quality of the Meike even more. It feels less plastic, and the metal pieces feel more solid and even sound better when assembling them together. The Viltrox sounds like cheap stuff grinding together where the Meike is like smooth metal joining up perfectly. I don't use autofocus (all vintage lenses) but I can comment on the fact that the flocking (matte black) works well to eliminate reflections (on par with the Viltrox) and the release buttons feel super nice. Some units are difficult to operate, they won't latch well, won't unlatch easily, feel cheap, etc... but the Meike latches feel extremely high end. My one complain is that the rear (camera end) cap screws on and off opposite of any cap you've ever used. Even the front works normal (left to remove, right to put on) but the rear is right to remove. I about broke it trying with all of my force to remove it the first time before realizing someone made it backwards. Get rid of the engineer who made that decision, otherwise this is a great unit. It's not quite as long as my Viltrox, but I often use them together for a total length of 67mm with great results.
