This is good for if you need to give the car a bit of a spruce-up rather than when cleaning weeks of road salt, mud and grime off. If there's something on the car that you don't want to wipe across the paintwork, give it a proper scrub. If the car just needs some shine, go for this. Most Meguiars cleaning products smell like they belong in a sweet shop, and this stuff is no exception. It may be worth keeping in the car along with a microfibre cloth in case you need to clean some bird mess off before it attacks the paintwork (a problem with modern car paint finishes). One of the photos shows a "before and after" on my car bonnet, the patch back-left is the bit that wasn't done.

I rarely wax my car as I find it far too much effort, I don't have an overly expensive car and a simple wash is about all I can be bothered with. I was interested to see how good this Meguiar's spray was though. The spray comes in a 24 oz squirty bottle with a twistable bit on the front of the nozzle to stop spray coming out accidentally. You do not need to use a lot of this spray so it should last a while, which is good considering the price (just under £20 at the time of writing). You do however, need to use a lot of elbow grease to buff the paintwork after spraying. This is fine for those that are used to regularly washing and waxing their cars but is much less fun for those of us that just want the car to look clean and don't necessarily consider their car their 'pride and joy'.Once you have finished buffing the paintwork it does look quite good. We haven't had any rain since I tested this spray but I have thrown a little water over the bonnet and it does run off quite nicely. I can see me using this spray on occasion in between 'proper' car washes (or my lazy version of) so it does serve a useful purpose.

Very easy to use and does an excellent job of keeping a beading effect on your car!I use waterless wash products for keeping my car looking clean while I’m using the car in dry weather when it doesn’t get that dirty. This Hybrid Ceramic spray is one of the better waterless sprays I've used, mainly because of how it just works without much effort required.Just spray it onto the panels no bigger than a shoulders width at a time, use a microfibre cloth to wipe it and then buff off with a separate clean cloth. Just don’t let it sit for long before buffing or use in temperatures below 13°C and it should leave an excellent finish with no streaks, and it provides a nice beading effect when it rains too. Most of my car detailing products are from Meguiar’s, and this is another product that I would be happy to recommend to anyone. Its priced higher than other waterless wash sprays but it’s a good quality product so I feel it's worth paying a little extra for. I give it the full five stars!

Okay, so just to be clear, I didn't buy into this whole waterless cleaner thing, and I advise anyone buying this to not do that - cleaning a dirty car with a spray-on wipe-clean approach is just asking for a scratched car - not because of this itself but because of the dirt.I did use it as a final treatment for a clean, pre-washed car and did like it - easy to apply and didn't need any real buffing, just cleaned off nicely and did make water beads really well. It’s a little early to see if it lasts between washes, but happy with it so far.

After using this spray on a car with heavy soiling from road grime and a more lightly soiled car I can say this spray does cut through even the heavier soiling, however I wouldn't recommend using it for really bad dirt as it takes an absolute age to wipe off the dirt using just the spray and cloths especially if you're doing the whole car. This spray is much more useful to use on lightly soiled panels in between proper water washes, it would be ideal for doing a quick touch up detail if you're away from home say on a road trip or at a car meet and want to give it a little spruce up, the end result is very respectable if you use enough cloths and give it a buff at the end with a clean microfiber or suitable cloth. That's the other issue with using this without rinsing the bulk of the dirt off first with water, you end up with a heap of very dirty cloths so you'll need a good supply of them if you want to do the whole car. The scent for those that are interested is a sort of lemonade-esque smell which is quite nice on my opinion but not really the most important thing to consider for an external cleaner that wears off pretty quickly anyway.Overall this spray is really good at what it's supposed to do which is give your vehicle a little spruce up but in no way would I recommend using this as a replacement for water and shampoo, it's just not suitable unless you're a bit of a masochist with a huge supply of microfiber cloths!
