My family often eats shredded chicken or pork in tacos. I've always hand shredded using a combination of large forks and even a hand mixer. I was so excited to order these claws instead -- they work beautifully. It's easy to shred the meat and you can grip these well. They are also easy to clean in the dishwasher.

These claws are excellent! They are strong, effective, and pull my meat apart much more quickly than my regular use of two forks together. Plus one side of the claw has a bottle opener on it and the other side is basically a knife! These bonus uses come in handy for those who want to quickly open a bottle or slice up a more firm piece of meat that the claws aren’t pulling apart. I love it!The two things to keep in mind: since they’re metal, you’ll want to be careful what kind of material you use them in (such as flimsy plastic or “non-stick” coating that comes off when metal scrapes it). Also the teeth are larger than if you used forks so the individual pieces will take a few more times being pulled apart to get them all shredded the same way. However, this very much gets cancelled out by the fact the area the teeth of the claws covers is much larger so you’re going over much more chicken at one time. I just wanted to point it out for those who may expect the exact same results, just on a larger scale.Overall, there are very few reasons I wouldn’t happily use these every time I need to pull apart meat!
