LG front loading washer.Get the tool to install this - it's 10 bucks well spent and will save you the headache.I spent about an hour to install this. Take your time, and there are videos on YouTube that will help walk through the process. Yes, you need to take the washer apart - and you will want to to get this fitted properly. It is not the stock part, but it still works just as well. The problem with front-loading washers is that the door boot collects water and will eventually mold. Most do not take the time to clean and maintain this crucial part and end up needing to replace it every 3-5 years - especially in a higher humidity environment. With the cost of an appliance repair tech coming to replace the door boot running between 350-450 bucks, this part for 50 bucks and the tool for 10 bucks - it is a no-brainer. If you can watch a video and turn a screwdriver (in my case, I used a drill with a bit for the screws) you can do this yourself. I got this for a friend who had issues and walked them through the process. When they saw how easy it was they were astounded. It does take time and you have a lot of parts to remove, but it is worthwhile. Tip - use small condiment cups to keep the screws grouped - it will save you the headache of trying to figure out which screws go where when you put your washer back together. When I have to replace the door boot on my washer, I will be buying this.If you are replacing the door boot on a washer that is coming on 10 years old, I recommend replacing the water pump at the same time - because you are already in there and it is only another 10-15 minutes of work. This was an easy swap. My husband left some tools in his jeans that caused a tear in our gasket. It took less than 10 minutes to swap it out.

I should have taken a photo of how gross the gasket on my washer got only after a year of use. The moldy stain was impossible to remove after trying everything. I bought MDS47123605 Washer Door Boot Gasket Compatible with lg and my handyman swapped it out. Perfect fit and haven't had any issues even after a use of use at my vacation rental.

The gasket on my LG washing machine (WM3570HWA) was disgusting so we decided to replace it while also fixing a broken drain hose. This Gasket looks just like the OEM one and I was able to install it correctly the first try.I ordered the spring-opening tool separately and I would recommend that. I am not sure that there is a normal household tool you could use in place of that.Anyway it's been in use for a couple months now and I have no complaints. It seems to function identically to the original.

Overall it fits good, except the two drains on the sides. They don't match the location of the oem, see pictures, so I wasn't able to place them into the specified slot as the angle is slightly off., other than that, it works good, no leaks. It took me a bit time to get it properly replaced, but worth the time. Now washer is like brand new.

Got this for LG WM3770HWA. I disassembled the washer and replaced the gasket only to find at the very end at the outer lip of the gasket is a tad smaller than the rim of the washer. Pull on one side and the opposite side comes loose. Same with top or bottom!I complained to Amazon thinking it may be a one off incorrectly manufactured piece. Nope the replacement item is so badly twisted (and a bit smaller than the outside rim again!) that you canโt even get half of it to fit over the rim without the other side coming off!!! There are a couple of areas of plastic (or silicon) that are still attached to each other due to inconsistent manufacturing and they had to be pulled apart to make the proper grip. Extremely disappointing and I will just but the bullet and order the OEM part. Selling a gasket that costs $5-10 for almost $60 is not cool! The seller should work to improve their manufacturing!To the seller: If you think Iโm doing it wrong feel free to respond and Iโll be happy to update the review.

We aren't ready to get rid of our washer yet. I've always hated to just replace something because it's old, when I can fix it.For around $50, 30 minutes of work, and a quick delivery we are back in business. The seal is an exact match for He3t Kenmore washers with just an inlet for water.Many of the other replacement seals claim they are exact replacements, but this is the only one that fits the older washers.After replacing shocks and springs with the seal, I spent less than $100 and have a machine that runs like new!

Fit perfectly and matches old OEM washer door gasket. Was a bit skeptical about the gasket but to my surprise it is a match and the quality is great. Looked up youtube video and installed gasket without any issues

This fit my LG WM3470HVA properly. FYI- despite what the Youtube videos show, this is NOT a simple install and I've done it before! This gasket has 4 hose attachments and that inner ring clamp is DIFFICULT to re-attach... even with the spring expander tool. But it got done, now we'll see how long until the mold returns.
