As other reviews have mentioned, the plastic is more flexible than the factory, what that means is when you press the buttons down, it pushes down on the circuit board essentially needing more force to register the click. My solution was to use the old broken board, scrape off all the buttons and lights so it is flat, and put it behind the new one before screwing it all together. Yes it’s a tad annoying but for the value it’s worth the slight inconvenience.

My joy cons would not sync when trying to assign a controller on super smash brothers. All of the other buttons worked but the problem ended up being a pinched ribbon inside the controller. It was easy enough to replace following YouTube videos but some instructions would have been appreciated. Be very careful with the tiny pins and be sure to test all inputs on the system settings to make sure all of the buttons are working properly.

you can barely tell that its not original if you compare it, but its just as good as the original anyway, you will NEED THE RIGHT SCREWDRIVERS (tri wing, because Nintendo is Nintendo)

My rail buttons started to crap out on me and it's much cheaper to repair the controller than to shell out $40 for a single new Joycon. I swapped the component and my controller began to work as before. I would recommend these parts to anyone struggling with Joycons in need of repairs.
