This repair kit delivers exactly what it promises. One of my Joy-Cons had issues with the button sync and the SL/SR buttons, which meant I couldn’t use it individually. I decided to replace those components using this kit and went ahead and swapped out the joysticks too to fix the stick drift I’d been dealing with. Everything worked flawlessly afterward, and my Joy-Con feels like new!If you’re handy or comfortable with small repairs, this is a great, straightforward way to fix common Joy-Con problems without spending a ton on replacements. The kit includes everything you need, from screwdrivers to replacement parts, which made the process smooth.One word of caution: the ribbon cables are delicate (note for any ribbon cable not just this product), so take your time and handle them gently. If you’re not super familiar with electronics, it’s worth watching a tutorial or two to make sure you don’t accidentally damage anything.Overall, this is a fantastic kit for anyone wanting to fix their Joy-Cons themselves. This kit almost has everything you need to rebuild your switch joycons. The kit has two sizes of screwdrivers, one for the 4 screws to open the joycon, one for the inner smaller screws which is magnetic which is very helpful with the small screws. It has a small tweezer, but wish it was a little grippier, the super small ribbon cables are hard as it is to get back into their slots. But it comes with ribbon wires connected to the outer connection rail, which you get two. also two ribbons for the 4 small leds that you see on the inner connection rail. Both of these ribbons get very brittle when old, like mine were orginal joycons when the switch came out. When i just lifted the covers apart gently, they just broke in half they were so brittle. So was very happy those were included. Kit comes with 2 joysticks as well. What i think this kit should have is 2 batteries, but i just ordered them elsewhere. You can watch a youtube to see what you need to do, it's not rocket science, but since the cables are all super small, if you're not good with small delicate things, this isn't for you. Basically the ribbon connectors have a small flip up piece usually in front or on top of the connector. Flip that up and slide the ribbon out. the hard part is sliding the super small ribbon back in, it's hard to judge if the ribbon is in far enough, but just slide it in as far as you can and flip the lock on the ribbon connector down and if it locks the ribbon in place, it's probably in good enough. The Right controller has a small antenna for the wireless connection, but the battery tray has 3 screws holding it down which you have to take off to get to the joysticks. The joysticks have 2 screws which is easy to replace. The ribbon cable on the joystick is again, small and has a small lock lever on the top which you flip up and slide out. You just have to be careful for the small ribbons that hold the battery tray, those have no cracked on me yet and seem more flexible. But if you break those, you will need to buy another joycon. So overall, it's a great kit, i was able to do 4 joycons in a few hours and that's taking my super sweet time. Oh yeah, the battery has a very small gray connector, this connector just pushes down and stays in place. It's vry small as well so just hold it with the small tweezers and push it down with a pencil eraser or something small. So overall it's all doable, just tedious working with the small cables. It also comes with a couple of prying tools and a brush i guess to clean off dust. So overall, this kit is a 5 for now as it has everything i needed to rebuild most of the joycon.

本体との接続が認識されないJoy-conのレール交換を行って、無事に修理成功しました。本体の箱のURLから動画が見られますが、細かい部分でやってみないと分からないことが色々あるように思えたので、観察力が無いと結構難しい。添付のドライバーが磁石になっていて助かりました。

I had two joy-cons that were failing. The left one would drift in random directions and the right one couldn't be used on its own as the SL and SR buttons stopped working. A new set of controllers is $70+, so I decided to try this $14 kit. I was impressed that it came with not only all the necessary parts but also all the tools needed for the repair. It also included a QR code to a video showing how to use the product. I and the kids have been using these repaired controllers for a few weeks now on Smash Bros. and Mario Party, and they are holding up just fine.

I can’t tell you how many times we had to buy a replacement controller especially the right one for some reason but this saved us so many times also fixed our lite switch joy stick! we used up all the replacement pieces because my kids are animals but will definitely buy again so definitely worth it easy to use once you get the hang of it with the help of YouTube

This replacement kit is amazing! I have a total of 6 joycons (3 sets). Sadly, 3 joycons haven’t worked for as long as I can remember. 2 of them had joy stick drift and 1 didn’t sync/charge.With one kit I was able to fix all 3 of my faulty joycons.The entire repair process was simple, I just followed the video provided here. The joy stick ribbon cable “seemed” to be hard to insert but don’t force it. It’s already in.Best of luck!

I originally got this for the SL, SR, and sync board, I was repairing a joycon with a bad ribbon cable and this was the best deal that also happened to come with analog sticks, rails, and metal locks. The SL and SR board works great, the buttons are more clicky than stock and the LEDs are slightly less bright but that really doesn’t matter much. The analog sticks and metal locks work great. My only complaint is the rails. They are ever so slightly thinner than the originals and will cause a looser fit in accessories such as the joycon grip. They stay tight enough on the console itself but with the grip they move around quite easily. I use ifixit tools so I don’t know how the included tools are but they seem quality. Even with my one issue, you can’t beat the price for all that’s included, good product.

This is an amazing repair kit for joy cons. I was worried about the quality looking at the negative reviews. But for the amount there is nothing out there that can come close.Breathed new life into my old joycons. Had a broken analog stick on both joycons. Replaced both analog sticks, rails and led strips that it comes with. Also changed the case while i was at it hence the color change.The parts feel of good quality and are working perfectly. Did not even need to calibrate the sticks.The provided tools were good too, a lot better than what some other kits provide. I can see why everyone was praising the tweezers, they're pretty good.Overall amazing kit. Only thing that they can add is maybe more extra screws but i had a lot from my shell replacement kit so wasn't worried about that.

This kit is pretty good. It does come with everything you'd need to swap/refurb two joycon. The tweezers are cheap, but they would work. The screwdrivers are better than I was expecting, I've kept them both. Both the joysticks in my kit work fine, and I swapped the rails. The plastic feels a little cheaper maybe. The screws that come with are also pretty cheap and soft, but it is super nice that they send a full set with in case you lose or strip any of the originals.Word of warning, this is a fiddly job. It's not really hard, just lots of little parts and takes lots of patience. Especially the first one. Watch YouTube videos of the process!!
