I only tried the star and the other speciality needles. Omg!!! I love them. Amazing quality noticed from the first stab! Definitely quality with these. Arrived fast too. I will look for more of their needles. Definitely recommend!

Recently discovered needle felting and wanted a full set of needles to work with - i searched around quite a bit to find the 'right' combo with lots of variety. This one is perfect and has all the common sizes PLUS some of the ones you don't get in the other kits! And each of the different types of needles come in their own reusable plastic box - labeled with type, size (and color when applicable) - all housed in a box suitable for storage. Each different needle type has its own end color as well. There is also a small instruction sheet that gives you the 'basics' of needle felting, with some cute felted creatures on the front for inspiration. Couldn't be more pleased!

I purchased these to replace a breakage of needles that came in a beginners felting kit. I was surprised at the quantity and quality. Fun craft to learn and the needles are important.

I'm a beginner, so I don't have a ton of experience. But I do have enough to say the quality of these is passable for the price but they aren't great.Pros: Lots of needles for the price. Several sizes and types of needles. At least as of December 2023, the needles are clearly separated and labeled for what size and style they are. They are also color coded. The handle is fine; the wood feels cheap, but it works well enough. The finger covers are about the same; they work, but the seams are huge which makes the fit a little awkward. The handle and finger protectors aren't great, but they're good enough for beginners who don't want to splurge.Cons: Needle quality. I find that many of the needles are too dull to use, straight out of the package on felt that hasn't been touched. Other than these needles, I've only ever used needles supplied with kits. Even kits made for children have sharper, higher quality needles than these. I'd say I have about 50/50 chance of the needle I use being pointed enough to work.Overall, not a bad purchase. But I'd rather pay a bit more and know that every needle I pick is usable.

I purchased this set because I wanted a wide variety of needles and it did not disappoint for the price and 35 needles! It comes with these gauges (36,38,40,42,36&40! cone felting,36&40 spiral/twisted,40-42 star) with the end colored differently and put into a labeled box. Not sure if this is universal coloring or not. Packaged very well and labeled so I would know each and how used was the tipping point for me. I have to say that I have only used them once because I'm very new to felting and it left me with a few finger sticks so I've ordered some finger gloves. As soon as I get them, I'll be trying my next project, an owl (the first was the bat, pic). I looked at that post and wrote on the labels the info for each needle what was given. So I have more than just the gauge. Ok, so the packaging for these needles is great. These needles in this package is very well made. They don't rub against each other, the only thing I don't like about the container packaging. And the box they came in. Nice sturdy box to keep them all in together. Although I do plan on getting something to store everything in from Dollar Store. As of now I've only used them once, I can't make a full review. I will do an edited version once I've used them more, but so far, I'm happy with them on my first project.

I noticed that some people were having trouble with the color coding and thought I'd try to help. The guide to the color coding is above (the guide does NOT come in the box) but it does make sense if you take the time to go through it. The needles are actually packaged according to the above description so you can figure out what you have if you label them before opening the separate packages they come in. I am new to felting but here's how the needles were packaged in my box: There was a plastic packet of 5 gold handled needles (36g), a separate packet of 5 green handles(38g), packet of 5 red handles(40g) and packet of 5 black handles (42g). These all appear to be standard conventional (triangle?) needles with 3 sides. Then there are 3 more packets. One packet has 3 gold handle needles. These appear to be the Star felting needles (approx 40-42g, they state these are good for quick work, joining and coarse fibers). There is also a packet holding 3 pink and 3 purple handled needles (these are the Spirals, again in the 40-42g, good for finishing and detail work) and a final packet with 3 red and 3 black handled needles (these are the Cone needles in 40-42g which they claim are good for texturing and fur or fuzz). This is a total of 35 needles. I feel this gave me a nice assortment for the price. I just took five minutes and used sticky labels to label the packets so I don't have to keep referencing them online. HOWEVER the "box" it comes with is just a small cardboard box with flaps and not a plastic storage kit. Also the "plastic packets" the needles come in are more like plastic packaging for items seen in stores - they are NOT actual plastic storage tubes or containers. These pastic packets can be opened and snapped closed again and it still seems like you can store the needles in this packaging but don't expect actual storage boxes or tubes of any kind.
