40 Gauge Reverse (orange) - for fluffing the surface pulling wool outward. The 36 Gauge Star (cream) Medium-has 2 barbs a side - faster starting and working. The 38 Gauge Star (black) medium - has 2 barbs a side - Faster working and shaping. The 38 Gauge Twisted needle (Purple) Medium - has 2 barbs a side - even felting and smoothing. The 40 Gauge Twisted needle (light blue) - has 2 barbs a side - even felting, smoothing. Packed in a protective reusable tube. Felting needles are brittle, and are therefore easily broken. To reduce breakages use the needle in a straight in, straight out motion. The needle is best not bent, wiggled or put under a lot of pressure. As a general rule if the needle will not enter a surface with ease do not force it.

Heidifeathers is the go-to place for felting needles of all sorts for many felting communities. Because they are quality needles every time. I love that they come in a square tube so they don't roll off the table. I always buy my needles here, and recommend them to everyone.

I’m fairly new to needle felting and am experimenting with different needles. I am especially pleased with the effect the reverse needle provides on muzzles and paws by pulling out strands of darker core onto a lighter background. The color coded handles are very helpful. I was so pleased with Heidi Feathers’ communication, quality, service, and shipping to an international destination that I immediately purchased a variety set of needles and sample bundles of wool. The Menagerie pack is perfect for making forest and arctic animals that I work on most. Thank you Heidi Feathers!

The needles are great, and not only is the container marked with the size, but the needles themselves are color coded so if you are working with several, you just look at the top and know what size it is. Clean, well made. Very good needles for felting. Will definitely order again when needed
