So out of the box, 1 of the 4 doesn’t line up quite straight when the jaws bend in. It’s not a big deal, but it is there (in two dimensions). In the side to side dimension, the jaws are looser than traditional “vice grip” brands. I looked it up and the initial vice grip patents have long expired.The “fit and finish” isn’t quite to vice grip standards, but neither is the price. The functionality is really close! Overall the “looseness” of them might prove to be beneficial when it comes to rusting and long term use.The C grips clamp to a max of about 3” and open to about 4.25”.So far I haven’t used them for welding, but they did work well for collapsing brake calipers on my ¾ tonne truck the other day. Nearly a month in - sitting in an unheated shop, there is no sign of rust.

So far these clamps are working well. Overall build quality seems to be fairly decent. Good clamping force. Release mechanism seems to work okay as well. So far pleased.

These clamps are very high quality, clamps stay very secure once clamped, they are also at a good price!

But the clamping surfaces lack pads or plates, and thus not suitable for woodworking unless sacrificial cauls are used.

This is a nice pair of locking pliers and a perfect addition to my welding clamp collection. The joints are tight and move well, as does the adjusting screw. Also the unlocking lever works perfectly and that I have found to be the weak link on off brand locking pliers. Many of the cheaper imitation locking pliers have locking levers that don't release easily and that is not the case with this pair. They clamp tight, adjust easily and release reliable. Just the way that the brand name vise grips do and at a very reasonable price.
