Stronger and durable line. I topically fish for striped bass (freshwater) , maxima 6,8,12 ,lb test is what I use. All stood up up to the test but for a more natural invisible line presentation 6lb is where it’s at.

This stuff is hands down the best mono leader line and fluorocarbon leader line you can get. You can use it as main line if you want, hooked and retrieved a 17 lb steelhead on 15 lb test with no issues. Very abrasive resistant. Invisible in water

I been using maxima for over forty years and there fluorocarbon line is the best, super strong and invisible to fish, worth the money . I mainly trout fish and landed many ten lbs plus fish with the two lb fluorocarbon.

Excellent fluorocarbon. This is a great value for leaders, and very good line. Decent knot strength, very good abrasion resistance, low memory. I don't spool any reels full of fluorocarbon, so I can't speak to that use, but I use this for almost all leader applications and am very happy.

Great fishing line. A friend of mine who is a fishing guide up here in Washington state recommended 10 lbs for Steelhead fishing when using this brand. I've read other great reviews about it and have used Maxima in the past. I'm still a beginner when it comes to fishing up here in Washington on the rivers, but so far I've had less issues with this line as a leader than those I've used in the past. The price was reasonable too!

Although it caught fish, I was concerned that it seems to fray. Putting the line on th spool initially, I noticed the line already fraying and creating little frayed-thread balls on the line. I was using the 4lb, and catching about 1 lb trout. With the frays I would not trust it to catch anything much bigger.
