I've yet to try this on my old car but I did open the dented can and the odor was just as overpowering as the original Bondo--and the color is a shockingly bright mustard yellow. Once I actually use it I'll add an addendum to this initial impression.

I think it's a good product overall. It definitely hardens to a strong finish and requires some elbow grease to sand. A couple of applications might be needed to get it right. Putty is needed after sanding.A pea size blob of hardener cream mixed with a golf ball sized blob of filler holds true.Mixing:I discovered it takes me about 30-60 seconds to mix well (and that's including scraping the unmixed filler off the spreader to add back to the main mix). I'm a first timer so allow me a little wiggle room for error.Then I had to apply it within 3-5 minutes (my guesstimate) before it dried and was no longer usable/spreadable. Mind you, it could be based on how much hardening cream was used. Perhaps Maxifill needs less to make it spreadable longer? I didn't want to experiment since I don't want to repeat this exercise if at all possible.

I do body work as a hobby but I like to buy good products for my projects. It pays off when you see the final product. Before, I was using a $110 gallon of body filler from Evercoat which is very good but I saw this product and the good reviews and wanted to give it a try. Boom, a very good body filler as good as the $110 and at a very good price. Is smooth, easy to sand , no pinholes . It feels almost like a polyester glaze. This will be my body filler from now on.

Purchased this filler based on Amazon ratings, and have been very satisfied with it. Comes with hardener when many others don’t. Blends easily and can be worked in a minimum of time. Shapes well with body file and sands out beautifully. No problems with pinholes in what I’ve used thus far. Also arrived several days sooner than promised, which was a plus. Bought a second container of it and it arrived early as well. In my opinion it’s a great product and a better value.

working on rear fenders of a 49 chevy truck, they had small dents everywhere. this went on easy and in thin coats.Very easy to sand smooth. Looks good
