Ultimate travel car seat. At 8lbs it’s very light. It fits perfectly in the bottom of a Uppababy V2. We were able to gate check our stroller and use it on the plane (it’s FAA approved and easy plane install). My son was so much happier sitting in a car seat than in the seats. I felt better to since it’s safer for him.When we went out we would take our stroller, get in and out of cabs and easily install the car seat then we were able to stow it in the stroller. Worth every penny!

We're recommending this to all our parent friends. This car seat has gone on a handful of trips over the last year -- domestic and international. It lightweight and can be strapped on to a stroller for easy transport through the airport. We've used it in the plane and in rental cars with no complaints from our little guy.Only real con is that its almost too basic. Car installs is a bit more cumbersome and straps can get caught/stuck after a few uses. It's easy enough to adjust just not something you usually have to do with more expensive seat, but this is fine for temporary use cases.

We use a Nuna Rava as our main seat but we needed something lightweight for travel.Pros: flame retardant free fabric, light (I can lift it with my pinky), does the job, comfortable.Cons: functions like a cheap car seat (straps are very hard to tighten evenly)I’m used to high end and convenient features that my Nuna has and let’s just say figuring out how to use this car seat was a humbling experience. Reminded me why I would absolutely pay extra for convenience.I would not use this as an everyday car seat because it’s a pain in the butt to install in car and tighten straps but for travel and the price, it’s great.

It worked well with our travel to Hawaii, but I would say that the bottom clip is very low and not adjustable. So for longer and taller kiddos it could be a bit uncomfortable. My son was 1.5 when we used it and it did the job!But definitely light weight for gate check for any air travel which was a bonus!

I needed a 2nd car seat but also wanted something we could travel with. This car seat serves both those purposes and honestly is great enough to work as a primary car seat! It’s comfy, soft, lightweight, and feels safe. My toddler fits well in it. We also have the bigger maxi cosí convertible car seat and that one is great too! But I don’t know if my toddler son notices the difference between the 2! This is a great value for the money. Installation is the same for both pretty much. You gotta thread that seatbelt through the hole - a minimal pain. No cup holders but I would definitely recommend this to anyone! who is either looking for a travel car seat or needs a primary car seat and wants to keep it simple without all the bells and whistles.

We purchased two of these for travel and for our second car. This is just not a good car seat. I've installed other car seats (2 other gracos that are great) without issue. They both have the same issues so I know it's not a defective car seat.Cons:Impossible to tighten down enough using car seat latches. I've tried everything from sitting in the car seat and tightening, I've watched all the youtube tutorials on installing a car seat. They will not tighten enough and slides all over.The tightening strap for the harnesses is awful. How do you not incorporate a loop to put your finger through so you can pull the harness tight to the child. It's miserable every time as it's very difficult to pull without it and the car seat is sliding.The harness doesn't pull evenly and very difficult to pull. The left side of the harness tightens more than the right.Pros:They're light.I never write reviews but this car seat is just so bad. I would have returned them to amazon but I threw out the large box. I reached out to maxi but they're asking for videos and a bunch of other things that are difficult to show on camera.

Bought this as a travel seat and to ultimately use as an every day seat for my 12mo old and I’m not happy with a few features. The only positive features are that it’s lightweight and easy to clean.I use a backpack travel bag for car seats to make it easy to check in the airport and to carry around while traveling. When this seat is in a bag, it has two large fins on the back that dig into you when worn. It’s extremely uncomfortable if you’re wearing it for more than 5 min.The straps that hook into the bench hooks in your car do not tighten easily resulting in a loose fit. I have to use the seatbelt in addition to the bench hooks to really get a snug fit. This defeats the whole purpose of having the bench hooks.When the seat is properly installed and snug, tightening the shoulder straps for baby is not as easy as other seats, there is a lot of resistance to both tighten and loosen.The head rest merely slides into the two slots and always falls off, another poor design. The cup holder doesn’t have a firm attachment and is pointless.Would not recommend this seat for travel or everyday use.
