MAX EPC A/B is a room-temperature cured epoxy-based electronic potting compound designed for large mass potting or encapsulation of printed circuit boards & circuits.
MAX EPC A/B is designed to cure slowly for potting large volumes, up to 44 fluid ounces or 1.3 liters. The exothermic heat produced is insufficient to produce a "runaway" reaction during cure. MAX EPC is filled with thermally conductive fillers that wick heat away and allow for faster cooling.
MAX EPC A/B is mixed 4:1 by weight; it provides a 90-minute working time for volumes of 3 cubic inches & up to 45 minutes for larger mass - up to 6 cubic inches.
Its mixed viscosity is 3100 cPs at 25°C, similar to the consistency of syrup or honey. It is poured into place, self-leveling, and designed to release air bubbles and cure void-free.

Upon cure, MAX EPC is electrically non-conductive and provides a permanent barrier against air, corrosive environments, moisture, and direct contact with the circuitry. The high thermal conductivity prevents heat build-up by dissipating heat energy more efficiently.
MAX EPC A/B bonds to metals, FRP, ABS, PVC, Plastisol, and other plastic compounds used in wire jacketing and electrical enclosures.

MAX EPC is opaque black, offering permanent masking of proprietary circuits & components. MAX EPC is tough and impact-resistant, demonstrates high compressive strength, and is resistant to acids, bases, and solvents.

It is one of the worst products I procured online.Even after mixing in the proper ratio, it's not drying. I have mixed both parts A & B, and today is the 3rd day. Yet the mixer is fluidy in nature.

I was filling some toroid transformer centers for mounting on a side panel and didn't want to rely on the washer mounts provided.Online instructions clearly state to measure by weight. I don't recall what the included instructions said, probably the same. I don't have a scale so I measured by volume using graduated cups and it was not quite correct. So I scooped the rubbery mess out and repeated using a little more hardener. A drill bit warmed and softened it so it could be removed. The second attempt worked great.

Easy to use and doesn't require a vacuum to remove air bubbles.

Worked great for me. I used this for my own custom CDI box project. Really love how almost no heat is generated (low exothermic) from this epoxy. Of course you pay for that in it taking a long time to fully cure but well worth it IMO. I'm sure I will be buying more here in the very near future now that I've seen how well it works.

I haven't used it yet. I have an oscilloscope with a damaged female power plug. The power cord is no longer available from the manufacture. Since the pins are still good, I can use this to make a new insulated cover over them. I used something similar when I worked at Delta Airlines as an Avionics Tech. for feed through wiring into the aircraft's fuselage.

Long cure, hard to mix, you better buy a scale and plan on 3:1 ratio if you want it to harden...... which will leave you too much resin....... bummer.
