Each filter lasts me 8 weeks. Mavea does not make this water filter any longer & amazon is the only site I can find the filters. There are other less expensive filter replacements that are supposed to work in my filter jar but they are made in China & I am afraid the will not fit or work as well. These are made in Germany where the filter jar was made.

I use it on my old MAVEA pitcher. The water test is as delicious as it gets. I really missed using my MAVEA pitcher.

I have been buying this filter for years but the one I always got out of sudden was no longer for CA buyers. Very odd. Now I have to use another link, and the price is much higher.

I ordered this Mavea filter hoping it would be the original. Seems to be legit as the packaging and filter matched the pictures. The first couple of days the water tasted funny. I one day drank from a glass cup and the water tasted amazing! I realised that the plastic cup I was using has absorbed bad smells and makes all liquids taste bad.Pro:Actually makes tap water taste good.Have noticed no decline in taste after twi weeksWay better than Brita, is 1000x better than brita.Original pitcher is super expensive, Mavea fits well on Lake brand pitcher.Con:Water feels thick, it has something to do with my tap water but had to get used to it the taste of filtered water so really no cons.Tip:Use glass cup to taste test filtered water.
