After the winter we just had here in Ontario with a dumping of very deep snow and our van getting stuck, I wish I had ordered a set of these years ago. Sure you can buy cheaper thinner plastic treads but when you see how beefy these are and their ability to get your vehicle unstuck in deep snow you will wish you had a set of these instead. Our van sits a good distance above the snow usually but this past winter we were getting stuck. These arrived in 1 day and we got to use it for the second storm. Sure enough we got stuck, and we jammed these treads under the front tires so it was butted up under tire and then drove up on them and out of the snow! Life saver. Especially for us because we work nights and when you get stuck in the night no one is up to help you push your vehicle out of the snow so you'd have to wait for a tow-truck and that can take hours upon hours during a snowstorm. Do yourself a favour and get a set. You will save your transmission because you won't be spinning your tires (this is hard on the transmission), plus you won't be messing around for a long time trying to get your car out of the snow.

they work but need cleats on the bottom so they don't just spin out from under the tires

I carry 2 of these in my car emergency kit in winter. They are very heavy duty and work well if you get stuck in the snow. It rolls up and has a cover so it doesn't get dirt all over the car and takes up very little room. I've also used it a couple of times when my lawn tractor has gotten stuck on a slope when the grass is wet and slick. Works a treat.

Purchase the Traction device (2 QTY) and product is really well made looks and feels durable, they even came with it’s own storage case. As time came to use them I was disappointed. I had no traction (even with the traction mat underneath the tire). They just kept slipping in the snow. Either way product could have a better grip. Otherwise it could be an amazing product.

Gave this to two of my grandsons who have cars and have to drive in the snowy weather. One got stuck in a parking lot which was ice. He used this and was able to get going again. I would recommend this product.

I got my Diesel pusher (motor in the rear) Motorhome (38'er) stuck in the backyard when I was stupid and drove it back there after a good rain fall. How dumb can you be? In any event, I sunk the rear tires to the axles, and after I dug them out for about 2 hours to make a path, I put 1 under the edge of each of the 4 tires in the back, and it they pulled me out. Lifesaver, and well worth the $100 I spend for them. Can't wait till the next trip to the Beach! :) ;)

High quality and works great as advertised but be forewarned that you need to order two of them to have a set for both wheels.
