I found this hammock to be extremely uncomfortable. I bought this hammock thinking it would be identical to one I was replacing, and which I liked. But this one was never comfortable. It seemed like the center strands of the hammock were too short, and made a ridge in the middle. I thought maybe it just needed time to break-in. But after months, still uncomfortable. I finally broke down, tossed this one in the trash, and ordered a different one.

I've had many of these, I leave them out in the sun and sprinklers and they last years, if I took care of mine better I'm sure I wouldn't have needed to replace them. My 3 kids have sat in it, super durable, great quality and so comfortable!!!

Over the years, we've bought a lot of hammocks in Mexico. So we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.I bought this hammock in the blue green purple style *seven years ago* when it was $59 and it still looks brand new. Have used it every year and nothing is falling apart or disintegrating. You do have to take care of it though, don't leave it out in the sun all summer for example. Most of the hammocks we have purchased in Mexico fell apart or disintegrated after a few years even taking care of them.Says for two persons. Maybe for a couple a lot thinner than me, I'd hate to try to share it because you're going to be squished together but I guess it's possible.I highly recommend this hammock, my experience is you can't go wrong.

I loved this hammock for my backyard. The woven aspect of it creates a very comfortable experience with the breeze passing through and what-not. Unfortunately, it is very fragile. I bought 2 of these, first one lasted one summer, initially strings broke one by one creating holes, ultimately it was destroyed by squirrels (I guess collecting the fabric for there nests?). But I liked it a lot so this summer I decided to buy another thinking "I'll take extra good care of it this time, take it in at night, etc." But only about 2 weeks after receiving the strings started breaking, and i thought i was being pretty gentle with it. So ultimately, I returned it for a different hammock. If it wasn't for the fact that it breaks quite easy, this style of hammock would be my choice.

Large and comfortable hammock, but less durable than I would like. Also relatively expensive.

I was unsure at first but took the chance and got it. By far best decision I’ve made on a hammock. It can support all 3 kids at once and even allows for me and the wife to enjoy together!Stays clean, looks good and is very comfortable!Would definitely recommend this product!

We bought this to replace a 20 year old previous hammock of the same design. It gave us many years of happy relaxation and I'm looking forward to many more with the new one. I love the intense colours and the hand-made feel of the hammock, and it looks fantastic hanging and ready for use.Delivery was much faster than expected and I was delighted to get it in time for a warm and sunny Christmas break.

We bought a hammock in Mexico 12 years ago for our home and love it. I have been looking In stores and online for one just like it and couldn’t never find one for our cottage. It’s hand made and such good quality. We couldn’t be happier with it. I don’t like hammocks made out of cloth material or when they have the wood keeping them spread apart. Nothing compares to these hand made hammocks! It’s woven and you can wrap yourself in it like a cocoon but still see out, our kids love them. We actually bought 2 and have no regrets!

We actually used these same kind of hammocks when we lived in Chumayil Yucatan in the 1990s where most of the women and kids earned their living making them. Any of the "Hammocks Rada" hammocks are from that general area made by real Mayan people.Very comfortable and durable. We have seen some that are over thirty years old and still look good and are very strong usable. The only caution is don't have shoes or buttons or anything that can catch the threads because they will pull and snag and leave your hammock with threads hanging and not looking good. You can wash them by hand using a soft soap in a large sink or tub. Just be careful to not get the "brazos" tangled. You can avoid that by tying them in a soft knot before washing. (The brazos are the ends that form the looped ends where you hook it to the ropes to hang it for use. If these become tangled the hammock will hang incorrectly and look bad.)Although, like everything else, those who actually make them don't get the biggest share for their labor, it is still a good thing to support them by your purchases. You will also do well if you get the "Ganchas" or "S" hooks and ropes so you can just un-hook the hammock when you want to take it down. (If you have a place where you use it regularly)You can also contact Rada to get a specially made hammock. If you order a crochet hammock it will cost a lot but it is made of very fine cotton "hilo" thread and takes almost a month to make, but it is very soft and comfortable and like the local Mayans say: "It is warm in the winter and cool in summer."Have FUN!!

After flipping out of a traditional rope hammock with spreader bars I realized I needed something better. Flipping out of a hammock is fast and scary and the risk of injury is very real. I researched and I found that Rada hammocks had the best reviews all over the internet and flipping is not an issue.I was worried that my hammock stand would not work because the stand did not have the 'half moon' curved pieces at each end for the hammock strings to go over before attaching further down the stand. I have a 15' hammock stand, measured from end to end. It turns out this hammock fits great. If you have a stand that is less than 15' long from end to end you should have the curved half moon metal pieces at each end. I added a few .89 cent hardware pieces to connect the hammock to the chain on my stand and I did it all myself (I'm not usually a handy person). See the photo for details. These also make it easy to remove the hammock and bring it inside during periods of inactivity or bad weather.I cannot put into words how much I love this hammock. It is so comfortable which is not something I can say about the rope hammock I had previously, it's beautiful, and most importantlhy I have never come close to flipping out of it. I am so pleased with this hammock I cannot rave about it enough. I bought the 2-person hammock and it's great for just one person.
