Can't say enough great things about this wet palette paper. Just run it under very hot water or soak it in very hot water for about 4-6 minutes. then place on your wet palette and you are good to go. Keeps my paint wet for about 2 weeks.

My husband and I have been using these with the stay-wet palettes that snap shut when not in use. This has saved many $$$'s on acrylic paint.

I use this for acrylic painting. Love that I can mix colors one day and paint last all day. I have left my mixes in for several days and they were still usable.

The Masterson Sta-Wet palette is a great design for acrylic paints. I haven’t tried yet with other mediums, but I’m thinking it’s worth a shot. Savings on paint, time and costs. Much less wasted paint.

Disclaimer, I am not an expert or really an artist, but I use paint. I am disabled and due to that there are times that I can’t work on a painting for a few days and sometimes even a week. I really needed a way to keep my paints useable, I mix my own colors and since I’m new I’m not great at getting the colors the same every time. This has been great. I have put paint down and left it there for 7 days. Most of the colors stayed useable, weirdly blue shades didn’t and I don’t know why. All told it is worth it and if I needed to I would buy one againTHE BAD I cannot get all four corners to close. I don’t know if it is a defect of the lid or perhaps I’m defective, ok I know what you’re thinking I said earlier that I was disabled so perhaps it’s me, but my attendant, who isn’t disabled can’t close the bloody thing either. BUT even with it not closing that last corner it still kept most of my paint useable for a week, maybe if that side closed my blue wouldn’t have been hard.

This system of wetting this paper and using it in the plastic lidded pallette works well to preserve that extra paint that doesn’t get used in one sitting. The only part that hasn’t worked for me is trying to save the paper to use the back side. First, what do you do with it while you are trying to finish the painting? If you’re painting plein aire, it’s a good idea to store a fresh piece underneath this piece for the time when one needs a fresh amount of surface. One can move the excess paint onto the new surface. But, where one keeps the used piece until one can get home and wash it? It also did not hold up when I washed it right away when I was at home. The paper tore.It doesn’t matter to me. I will still highly recommend it to save those paints which are more costly. I don’t mind 50 cents per sheet. It’s well worth it to me.
