I bought this to use for modeling chocolate on my son’s birthday cake. The rolling pin was a decent size for the small pieces I was working with. The tools were great, too. Great starter set!

This is a great kit for beginners! I have never made anything with fondant before so I had no idea what tools I would need in order to make a cake. This kit had all the tools I needed to make my daughter’s birthday cake. The tools were easy to use/clean and are well-made.

I know the description says the roller is 9 inches, but I did not realize how small that is. It's barely bigger than my hand, and is limited further by the rings. You could not use this to cover a regular-sized cake. I made a Switch cake for my son's birthday and it wouldn't even roll out pieces big enough to cover the "joycons". The rings were constantly falling off and eventually I just took them off and eye-balled the thickness the best I could. I'll keep the tools but in the future I'll just get a better roller.

I liked the variety of tools for the money. I liked the dept bands on the end of the rolling pin. Being new to working with paper clay and molds for mixed media and card making this assortment is a great buy for the money. The tools appear sturdy and are all constructed of hard plastic but clay work or cake/candy making is not very hard material. The order arrived very fast and in good condition. I wish I knew the dept of bands on rolling pin but I do not and don’t remember reading in product description.
