I am a diyer and have used a trowel to float concrete floors in the past, but having watched various videos I decided to purchase a magnesium hand float, and for the limited time I have had it I have already seen the difference between using a brick laying trowel and a magnesium float to level a float. The handle has a nice grip, almost ergonomic, and the blade is smooth. I would recommend this float.

I recently did my first DIY concrete pour, and I can’t say enough how incredible this hand float is. I did tons of research before purchasing a hand float, and all of the recommendations came back with “buy Marshalltown tools; they are the best.” So, deferring to the professionals in the field, I did just that, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s durable, easy to work with, and wow, you can feel the quality of the hand float when you are holding it. It is so well made. For anyone thinking about doing a DIY pour, do yourself a favor and grab a hand float like this one; it’s so worth it.
