Just get different hose bibs. I requested a refund, but the units are now cross threaded (because the old ones were terrible to remove, totally broken into little pieces) and useless. The poppets for these need to be in upside down, but of course, they fall out, and don't stay in while you install. Terrible design, junky plastic. Get better hose bibs to begin.

Works great so far. No issues with outdoor faucets leaking when in use.

My local hardware store doesn't carry this item. I received them in good order and it works perfectly. Now I have extras if the anti siphon goes bad again. Saved me from buying a new outdoor faucet. Very pleased. Easy to install.

This anti-siphon water hose valve replaced an identical original. It was easy to remove the old one and install the new one in one of my outdoor spigots, following instructions found on you tube.HOWEVER, someone had GLUED the one into the second spigot, meaning I had to dig it out in pieces. This results in having to replace the faucet, not just this cute little valve. Bad, bad! Do not use glue! It's not necessary.

It's super-annoying when an anti-siphon valve fails, so when mine did, I bought a bunch of these replacements. This valve assembly comprises a threaded, clear styrene sleeve that houses a nylon (I think) float valve. Once installed properly, it works perfectly. This said, there are some things that complicate installation. First, getting the old valve assembly out can be a real bear, because the styrene housing tends to bend/distort under the grip of a pliers. Then getting the new valve in with the float centered can be quite challenging. I found that filling the spigot with enough water to keep pressure against the float helped. Be super deliberate and careful when you screw the assembly into the top of the bib- make sure the float stays centered and that the alignment pin on the top of it fully seats in the guide hole in the styrene housing. Good luck, DIYers!!!!

I was able to stop a leak on my outdoor faucet with this kit. I’m glad several was included as the first one I damaged trying to tighten it down and then it leaked. A tip I picked up on You Tube was to place the new float in the faucet and open the valve handle enough to “float” it enough that you can then get the clear plastic piece centered and threaded in properly. Very easy repair with that trick added.

The kit fits fine but I have found that, by itself, it will not stop leaks if the rubber gasket that this part fits over is bad which, in my case it was. To get that gasket (washer) you need the $25 repair kit. Could not find simply the washer.
