Triple Work Width special for fur-shedding HORSES This curry-comb consists of a fine wooden handle (Bubinga, FSC certified) and rust free, tempered high-grade steel blade. ( 30 blades, medium texture) In this product the blades are completely changeable as the head! The special geometry of the blades guarantees a good penetration in to the fur with proper use, you can effectively and neatly remove around 90% of the loose dead hair with it. Simple application: put on the fur with a subtle pressure, eventually hold against it with the other hand and comb out in the direction of growth (in long strokes) and then remove the hairs from the blade with your hand. The leather strap should be laid around the wrist, so you also have full freedom of movement with an restless horse and can simply let go of the curry comb, without that it falls. Suited for very heavy coated horses like Iceland Ponys. 3.5 mm gap between each blade.

Excellent tool! My pony with Cushing's has the thickest hair and although it is time consuming, it's by far the best at stripping his thick undercoat.

This was gifted to me for my dogs and it works as intended. Not the biggest fan of it cutting the hair as I brush through small knots but it works as a good deshedding brush for heavy coats.

This stripper is expensive but worth it. It does the best job of clearing out a dog's undercoat with the least amount of work for the human and the least discomfort for the dog. It was recommended to me by someone in the Newfoundland dog club and I have used it on my 150 lb, double-coated Newf ever since.

It is shedding season right now. I got this thinking it would make the job of deshedding my horses faster….WRONG! I had to constantly clear the comb of hair after each stroke. After about 5 minutes of combing and clearing , I decided to use my previous method and tools instead because I wasn’t making any progress. In fact, using this product would have taken me much much longer to complete the job…and I have 4 horses to deshed! It is also not very wide for horses. However, this comb is well made and would probably by great on a medium to long haired animal that is smaller than a horse. I would not recommend this comb for short hair dogs. I am returning this product.

Excellent tool!! Yes, it’s not cheap but when you have a horse that grows a coat like a wholly mammoth you have to take the chance. This works wonders. It usually takes me many shedding sessions over multiple months to get my horse shedded out- and the mats are horrible. This tool goes right through them and my horse didn’t even mind and pulls them out. He stood so much longer then with a normal shedder. I will have to do a couple of more sessions to finish up. but the mats are already gone!

Tired of using shedding tools that aggravated my horses and wore me out, I took a deep breath (the price) and ordered this tool from Mars of Solingen, Germany. Its look is entirely old school compared to many of the newer shedding tools on the market, but look out when you actually use it - no annoyance to the horse and thoroughly effective. Pulls impressive amounts of long and shorter hair from late winter/early spring coats. Dang near heirloom quality and performance, and has a blade head that can be replaced if it ever goes dull, or if you need to pull varying depths of hair (you'd have to buy these separately, of course). Your only problem might be having this tool "walk off" if you're at a stable or boarding facility. Don't leave it laying around unattended, or chain it to a cast iron skillet or something similar.

I have a horse with Cushings disease so a very heavy coat. Doesn't like electric clippers so this tool worked great. She love it and is now tolerating the hot summer much better
