The lines are very poorly defined. Having used this brand before, I'm skeptical if this is genuine or not and shows worse than the poor quality Chinese ones I have. When performing a yeast cell count you lose "focus" of the lines you see in the attached picture.

The price is very good compared with hemocytometers purchased from Fisher Scientific or VWR. I paid $70 + tax. The lines are clear and cells are easy to see. I tried cheap hemocytometers from china but the lines are almost invisible and remain invisible even if you play with the contrast of your microscope. I teach at university and purchase 4 before the price went up. I Would have bought more.

No trae cubreobjetos, viene la cámara sola y sabemos que eso es inútil, en especial por la dificultad para encontrar cubreobjetos específicos para cada cámara.Aún cuando en algunos comentarios mencionan que si los trae… NO TRAE CUBREOBJETOS

What I like is that this counting chamber is well made. Using a 10X objective I have no issue seeing the lines. Added a picture so you can see for yourself. The specks is just dust. For an hobbyist like me the money spend is well worth it. What I do strongly recommend to certain people is that they should check their microscope or learn to how to set it up correctly before writing bad reviews for a good product.

I cannot use this product for cell counting. The lines are nearly impossible to see and I have received my replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement is faulty as well.

I use this chamber to count bacteria. It works well for this application. There are visible defects in the line patterns caused by particle contamination in the manufacturing process. Based on my experience fabricating thin film patterns for optical and electronic applications, this is not unexpected for a product made in low volume and selling for this price.Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Weird at first, but I have tweaked how I use it so am happy with it now. It is quite different from a standard hemocytometer, in that there is no "v" to load it. It loads just fine along the whole open surface. I have found that the volume is more accurate, and fits better when the coverslip is rotated 90 degrees from a standard hemocytometer. Once you do that the area to set up the coverslip adhesion is greatly increased, and it works really well for quick set up. I have used this nearly every day, and while the dividing lines are less bright, it was pretty easy to get used to. Well worth the price, (and not having to pay the $300+ for the "Classic)".
