I bought this brand partly on the strength of a Marcy weight stack machine I bought about 25 years ago that held up very well. This unit is likewise built to last. Only quibble is branches wobble slightly due to the way they’re fixed to the limbs, but they seem sturdy enough. Assembly took about an hour, but I wasn’t rushing because it was kinda fun. The parts arrived well organized and the instructions clear. Overall a solid choice.

Arrived ahead of schedule and all parts received. Very simple assembly and quite sturdy! Each peg can hold up to 145 kgs or 300 lbs!

So I opened the box and the stand was completely upright and done in 1hr and 5 minutes. No written instructions but the pics are clear and pretty easy to follow. My suggestion is build one side first, then add the floor/low cross member and do the others. The shrink wrap of the screws, nuts, bolts, etc is firm. Usea card table. It is very sturdy, I have 200 pounds on it, fine. The stability is fine but it isn't exactly flat so there is maybe a 1/4" off and without weight it will wobble a "tiny" bit but not worth any issues. AND it could be that I wasn't sure which top most 'tab' (labeled one and two) went over the other. Mine is one over two, but hey, it holds the weight, it is NOT going to fall over and its well designed. Marcy should make a "sleeve" to convert a couple of the weight rods (that the weights slide onto) from 1" to 2". I have mostly 1" but some 8 plates are 2"... the product is better made than the price might indicate.

Ikea could learn a thing or two from this - really clear easy to follow assembly instructions. It appears robust and well made. There is ample room for my 4 x 5kg, 4 x 2.5kg and 4 x 1.25 kg discs which are made by several different manufactures and have different sized holes. In hindsight I could probably have gone for a smaller size tree which would have suited my needs given the small space I have in my one bed flat. Some of the customers complaining about it rocking I don't think have aligned the bottom racks properly - I found this easy to rectify my aligning the bolts better. Also its supposed to have some movement in it so that it so that it can give a bit under heavy weight. Overall very decent for the price.

Ontzettend jammer.

I read in other reviews that this is not the best weights rack out there, that it is "flimsy" and unstable. Well let me correct you. I don't know if it is the best of all weights rack, but it sure is very strudy and not at all "flimsy". Mine looks and feels very well made. It came with all parts (I read some have received this with missing parts for some reason) and a very easy to understand how to install instructions. However, it was not at all the easiest to assemble. It took me 45 minutes to do it all on my own with no help. It wasn't easy. You have to have the skills of a rubber man to both hold the nut and the bolt at the same time and try keep the entire device in one place holding it from falling apart.Anyway, after 45 min. I had myself a pretty cool weights rack that holds all of my weights in one place. My room looks a lot more neat now and to me it is what matters the most.Worth buying.

After I bought a weight bench and rack, and weights for my strength training, I found that the paltry 2 plate holders provided with the weight rack were oriented inconveniently and definitely not enough. I saw this one for a very reasonable price so bought it, and was surprised with the quality of the finish on the pieces, the good fit which made the assembly a breeze, with all the hardware on a cardboard blister pack, numbered, and even allen keys provided (you provide a crescent wrench), and a nice assembly diagram. Took me 20 minutes to finish the assembly. Looks nice, sturdy enough for all my plates (195lbs shown in picture, I only have 30lbs more currently on my bar bell), and much more convenient than trying to hang them on the rack. Overall, very happy of the value for what I paid for, no problem at all with the strength, only dinged it a bit because the plate axles do have a bit of play (but absolutely no risk of any of the plates falling) as they are mounted through the main frame but only held by a cross-bolt.

This product is bizarre. The individual parts are well made, sturdy, and well-finished, much better than I would expect at this price point. The biggest issue (as many reviewers have noted), is that the attachment system for the 4 pegs on the legs of the rack is poorly-designed. The holes are oversized and do not hold the pegs at the correct angle, and the screws that secure the pegs to the legs do not hold the peg tightly. As a result, the pegs are secure but not at stationary. This is not a huge problem for me, as I only have a selection of lighter weights (no more than 50 lbs on a single peg). If I had multiple 35/45 lb plates, I would buy a different item.
