This worked perfectly for my trip to Spain and France. I had no issues charging my items. The product does say, however, to not use with blow dryers or hair straighteners/curlers. I didn’t use any hair products like that, so I didn’t have to worry.

I love having universal adapters when traveling because you never know how handy they are until you really need one. This is a situation that I've experienced countless times when leaving the country, or when having friends visit from elsewhere. This adapter is a good quality with support for multiple country's outlet types and the design allows the outlets to be compact, with sliding knobs allowing you to extend or retract the desired type as needed. It's a simple aesthetic choice, functional out of the box, and works as intended. The four USB ports are a massive plus as well.I'm pleased to have the item and I'm certain you will be as well if you are traveling and expect to encounter various outlet types while on the road. It does what it needs to which is what one can hope for when it comes to functional products such as this one. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps

I got this for an upcoming trip to Europe. Initially I was planning on bringing along a couple European plug adapters I have collected over the years in order to charge phones and tablets, but this is all self-contained, has 4 USB charging ports.Note that there IS NOT a USB-C slot on this unit (as was mentioned in another review), all 4 USB slots are USB Type-A. So you'll need your USB-A to USB-C cable to charge your USB-C capable devices (or a USB-A to USB-B [micro or mini] or USB-A to lightning cable, etc.).A bonus is that this unit passes power through to the front of the unit, where EU, US, AUS, or UK type plugs can be plugged in. This means when you plug this unit into whatever electrical socket, you still have access to the socket. That means that while I'm charging 4 USB devices, I can also have my laptop plugged in with its standard power supply plug (no adapter needed) and have all 5 things going at once. Woo-hoo!I like the smooth movement of the 4 different plug adapters on the side of the unit. The sliders lock into place both in the open and closed positions, so you don't have to worry about the adapter plug sliding back into the unit while you're trying to plug it into the wall. In addition, the 4 plug adapters have interlocks on them so that only one of them can be extended at a time. Both of these features are really useful, and I'm glad the designers put them in.I also like the LED light on the front face of the unit. It shows that the unit is actually getting power, but isn't so bright that it'll keep you up at night. The weight isn't bad, and the unit feels well put together.I've only tried in on US power so far, and it works as advertised. I don't expect there to be any problem with European power, as the internal power supply for the USB charging ports should be able to handle the different power, and my laptop power supply is able to handle the conversion of European power.(Important to note in the product description it states that the unit DOES NOT convert the input power from the wall plug to another power format for the front plug. So, before you plug your [non-USB] American device into the plug on the front of this unit, be sure that your American device is able to handle the incoming power format--otherwise you might fry your American device--and, if it does fry, that is your fault, because this unit DOES NOT do power conversion on the front panel plug.)Note also that the USB charging ports will always work no matter which country you're visiting, so power conversion is not a concern. The only reasons I don't give this a 5 star review is because I haven't tried it in a foreign country yet, and because there are also a lot of other choices for this type of product out there. That said, this seems to be a well-made, reasonably priced product, so I don't think you can go wrong choosing this unit.
