Picks up your voice just fine from wearing on your lapel. However, if you're doing VO I'd recommend holding the mic in front of your mouth for clear audio.
Horribly built

Microphone had no issues after couple month of use but clip started rusting one and a half month in. Contacted the manufacturer and got offered to get a replacement.

This does exactly what it says it does, and more importantly- it is a plug and play item. Just plug into the USB and it works. Quality is great for vlogging (beginners), video conference calling, and online lecturing.

I have tried many different mics for my work. I'm an instructional designer/videographer. Often I have to work as a digital nomad, so, my recording environments can be unpredictable. And I own three of these mics now. They allow me to monitor my voiceover live as I'm recording because the headphones plug right into the USB connector. They record great localized sound and very little echo. I don't have to worry about interference the way that I do with my Bluetooth clip-ons because they use a wire connected to a USB. It's an amazing little mic. I love it...obviously. lol

Perfect for my use case. By default it's a little heavy in the bass for my voice, but with a quick and dirty eq boosting the mids and highs it sounds great. Picks my voice up great regardless of position and volume. If you want something with good isolation out of the box, this probably isn't it; but if you want something with a wider pickup or if you're okay running some noise suppression in software, this is great.I don't know if the clip changed or something, but none of the other reviews I've seen complaining about the clip have lived up to my experience, though I could've just gotten lucky.

It was a bad microphone, not working and useless, just wasting money

So, the mic is good for the price and the only flaw is, in having a headphone port in theory is a great idea, you can't control the volume of the headphones so it's blazing loud. If they upgrade that part it would be an amazing mic.

I compared three popular lavalier mics available from Amazon - this Move, Maono, and a DeWise. The DeWise has a 1/8" plug so I used a Dukabel USB adapter. I do a podcast (two people with lavalier mics) and find that that lavaliers are a good choice for people like me who tend to move their head from side to side.My computer is a MacBook Pro.The Movo had a very strong signal - very strong. It will cause issues for many people. I had to turn down my input on the Midi and System Prefs to .143! The signal was a little muffled. Not a terrible signal, but a little lacking. The Maono seemed to have an easier to control signal. I set the input to between .6 and .7 depending on the person. It was plenty strong enough for any application. The signal was fairly balanced and clear. I personally liked the sound quality. The DeWise seemed to work well with a similar setting to the Maono (.6 - .7). The signal is fairly clear and has a reasonable sound quality. It has a bit more on the treble end of the frequency curve. That may work for you if needed.Another word on the DeWise - since it is a 1/8" plug be very careful if you plan to use it with a mixer. They left out a very important explanation. When using that kind of condenser mic, you will need phantom power. But (and that's a big But), you will need a transforming XLR adapter (Rode has a good one) that steps down the voltage to about 4 or 5 volts. If not, you may likely fry the mic.I preferred the sound quality and ease of use of the Maono over the other two. But currently, we are using both the Maono and DeWise together and they work well as an Aggregate mic set up. The Movo is a back-up at best, and we might return it.

Maono read my original review and offered a refund or replacement. I opted for a replacement because we still haven't found a good USB lavalier mic to recommend to our interview guests. The replacement works well! Since the clip is strong, you might want to put a piece over tape over the teeth to protect your clothing.I'm especially happy with Maono's customer service. I'm now comfortable recommending this mic for good sound at a low price.ORIGINAL REVIEW (UNEDITED)Tight clip + low volumeWe were looking for a low cost USB lav mic to recommend to our remote interview guests. (At our end, we use an XLR lav routed through a mixer and connected to the computer via USB. This gives excellent results.)Based on the reviews, the MAONO AU-410 looked like a good choice. The build quality is good but there are two problems:1) The clip is too strong and could damage your clothing. Using tape between the teeth might be a workaround.2) The audio output is too low, which makes the mic's background noise relatively high. When testing with Camtasia with the maximum mic input, the result was unusable. Someone Auphonic somehow fixed it. That's not as good or reliable as recording strong, clean audio.Since other reviewers seem satisfied, there might be a problem with the unit we got. Unfortunately, the return window has closed.

The case on the usb is a bit wide to fit into the port on our HTC Vive. Otherwise seems to work well.
