Mounting M.2 SSDs in a PC is a chore, because these screws are tiny and difficult to handle with big hands. They can easily get lost. These sizes cannot be found in your local hardware store and it is good to have a set of spares like this.We get 16 screws in two different sizes (eight each), eight red fiber washers and eight white nylon(?) washers in a zippered plastic bag. There is also a small screwdriver with the correct tip for both types of screws. It is magnetized to hold the screws during handling or easily retrieve the one that fell between motherboard components by accident. The screwdriver handle is intentionally narrow to prevent overtightening and allow quick turning. These screws require very little force. There are no instructions included (e.g. which washer goes with which scenario) but that information can be found elsewhere.Of the two sizes, I have only ever encountered the smaller screws, but eight will last a long time especially since screws are often included with the drives, adapters, or motherboards.I sure hope that motherboard manufacturers will eventually come up with a screw-less, tool-less design to snap these drives in place. Until then, a kit like this belong in every toolbox for PC maintenance, upgrades, or repairs. Good to have!
