Got it at a sale price and already had batts and track. But it's a huge upgrade on the old corded Wen, that for the $ was pretty good. Just an excellent saw.

I did a lot of research with track saws. I ended up going with this Makita. This runs so much better than my over rated green corded one.

I never thought I would like a track saw. I should of got one sooner. I always used a table saw for finish cuts. The makita track saw does a smooth finish cut. I just used it to cut long cabinet fillers at a angle. It Did an awesome job. I bought the pink insulation board from homedepot to use to keep off the floor to cut on. I got the 1-1/2" thick sheet and cut it in half, so I have 2'x 8' sheets to cut on. You can cut them down to 2'×4' sections to make it easier to transport. The score setting is great. Made it so there was no chips on the edge of the laminate. The saw is so light even with the batteries on it. Much easier to take to jobs than hauling a table saw up multiple floors. Dust collection is pretty good. The dust port is really nice. It's twists around to aim the hose more out of the way. Came in handy to be able to move around at different angles. I bought 2-55" mowhaw tracks (blue labels). They worked great. Just don't over tighten set screws to combine 2 tracks together. They leave a dimple on the tops side, if you over tighten them. I already have makita tools and batteries, so I bought saw ,track, clamps and a super nice track case. Cheaper than buying the kit. Differently would recommend makita track saw to everyone.

No disappointment with this saw. I'm glad I spent a bit more than the budget saws to get a high quality track saw. I especially like the near-instant blade brake and the scoring cut feature. The stock blade is first rate.

I really regret not buying this saw earlier. This track saw gives me accurate cut with minimum effort. The motor is quiet and electric break work very well to stop the saw right away when you release the trigger. This saw is such a pleasure to use. Great for cutting plywood and MDF. The blade that comes with it is high quality, so you don't need to replace it for fine cut.

Love it si far, but hard to justify the price of it, especially when the tracks are separate and so expensive on their own. For the live of everything that is holy, the tracks are just some extruded aluminum...stop extorting us. Ok, I'm done. Saw works great, plenty of power. Attached waterfall table joint was the first 2 cuts made with the saw (after cutting rubber strip).

I thought about buying a track saw for quite a while. Now I got it and I really wish I bought it earlier. It's kind pricy. But after using it, I think every penny is well spent. This saw together with the Powerex guide, it is so accurate and easy to setup and use, I think it will replace my job site table saw for 90% or more of the works. It's just so portable and dead accurate. Just think, wherever you draw the line, your cut is there! And dust collection works well!If you have a small workshop, definitely get this saw. It will change your workflow. And handle plywood is a piece of cake. I recommend this saw 100%, actually, 110%!By the way, the blade that comes with this Makita track saw has 55 teeths and is top grade. You don't need to buy another blade to replace it like other brands.

I have no regrets at all about buying this tool, it's made my life so much easier in my small garage/shop space! Everything I do needs to fit on one half of a two-car garage, so space efficiency is a priority. I've built many cabinets and large pieces, but handling large plywood sheets or tabletops has always been a slow and tedious process. The track saw has made a world of difference! No more edge guides and clamps to worry about, I just set the track down and cut (I still can't believe the track stays in place without clamps). The cut is as good as my table saw, and while I original thought I'd be using this mostly for breaking down sheet goods before finishing on my table saw, I've been using it for final cuts more and more. It's that good!I've also been using it for a lot of quick cuts, so I don't have to roll out my jobsite table saw for a quick cut or two. This is so much faster! One of the first purchases I did after getting this saw was some rigid foam board insulation to cut on. They're relatively cheap and lightweight, and make a great cutting platform so you don't cut into your workbench or garage floor. I cut the foam into 4 or 5 sections, to make storage easier, then lay out as many as I need for a given project. I did find the pink foam board works a lot better than the white board version. The white board was similar to styrofoam packaging, and would shred easily and made a mess. The pink board was much better. It's a little more expensive, but will make your experience much better.
