The DTM52Z is a cordless Multi-Tool, powered by 18V Li-ion LXT slide type battery (not included) to supply energy to the powerful 18V brushless motor, with soft start for smooth start-ups, variable speed controlled by dial and constant speed control to automatically apply additional power to the motor to maintain constant speed under load, to deliver up to 20,000 oscillations per minute and 370 W maximum output, ideal for wooden flooring, tiles, plaster, sheetrock, wood and a variety of other materials. The DTM52Z is equipped with easy to operate slide switch for continuous use, easy to grip small diameter body, tool-less accessory clamp, 12 angle settings for accessories at every 30 degrees from 0 degrees to 360 degrees and anti-restart function to minimise accidental start-up. The DTM52Z is compact and lightweight to allow the operator to work in confined areas, compatible with Starlock Max accessories (not included), has an oscillation angle 3.6 degrees for faster cutting and sanding, features Anti-Vibration Technology and battery protection circuit designed to protect the battery from damages due to overheating, over-discharge and overload current. The DTM52Z is not compatible with G-Series batteries. 1 year manufacturer warranty with a further 2 years when registered within 30 days of purchase. This guarantee does not apply where non-genuine or recommended parts or accessories are fitted to the tool. The use of non-genuine or compatible batteries and chargers with Makita tools will invalidate the Makita guarantee for our tools.

The machine is actually very good, it has a good construction, a beautiful design, a good grip, and very silent until the blade touches the object to be cut, however, it has some problems, it is heavier than the competition, its head is large , preventing the machine from entering tight spaces

I'm a loyal Makita user, no surprises regarding the quality of the tool itself. But there were no English instructions. And it would have been nice if Makita had included a blade or two.

Great tool for cutting out funny shape holes etc.Low vibration too. Like all Makita stuff - good quality.Make sure you buy the right cutters for it; there is a number of incompatible systems out there!

This product doesn't include instruction in English nor the kit with oil. Product returned and it's been delivered on time. but not refund so far. Not nice!

Handle is a bit thick, but manageable.The included instruction booklet has no english instructions.Feels solid, vibration is VERY low, excellent counter-balance.
