About this item

  • This Ceramic Piezo Vibration Piece Sensor buffers a piezoelectric transducer that responds to strain changes by generating a measurable output voltage change which is proportional with the strength of vibration. So you can know the extent of vibration. Different from digital vibration sensor that only accounts times, this analog one can tell extent of vibration.
  • When the piezoelectric ceramic shocking will generate an electrical signal, controller analog port can be perceived slight vibration signals, also can be realized with vibration interactions related works, such as electronic drums.
  • Working Voltage: 3.3V or 5V. Working Current: 1mA. Interface Type: Analog Output.
  • Please connect analog voltage ceramic vibration sensor to the UNO controller's analog port A0 in accordance with the procedure, then observe the output value of serial port when the vibration degree is different, it can realize interactive works related to the vibration.
  • Strong After-sales Service Team: As long as you have any questions about the product, we will resolve your issue immediately if received your email, your satisfactory purchase experience is our greatest hope! My husband got these for a project he is working on with his buddy and from all the noise they were making over them it seems they love them. They worked perfectly.

The wires are too thin to hold in the terminal blocks. The terminal block screws get stuck. The readings are all over the place. They were cheap but not even worth that. Don’t bother.

The sensors themselves are fine, they do what they're meant to. The little bit of signal conditioning on the breakout board is basically useless. I think there's a Zener diode and a resistor on there but there's no documentation to reference so it's pretty much impossible use them effectively.

Only 2 of the four functioned correctly, and I’m very adept to electronic equipment and soldering.

The wires fall right out of the screw terminals but I can put on beefier wires or replace the screw terminals. What's amazing is how nice these work for $1.50 each. Very sensitive but not noisy. Well worth the price.

These might work for educational purposes but are not high enough quality for a real project that depends on accurate and timely responses. After testing these hundreds of times I've found tapping these sensors with a reasonable amount of force has a ~70% chance of giving you an analog value but that value will be inconsistent with the amount of force applied. Tapping in the exact center is more reliable but still not enough for my drum kit project. Will be switching these out soon.
