The flame height seems to be at the highest level (5) when the flame height option is selected for the first time so it doesn’t go any higher just lower than original factory settings. The highest level is not that high so this $300 optional accessory wasn’t helpful. I will venture to guess the same applies to ability to adjust the fan although I didn’t try it. Very disappointing. It was a bit difficult to pair and I can totally see that it would drain battery and the screen is a nightmare.

There are a lot of negatives with this remote. If it wasn't required for using the thermostat feature, I wouldn't even use it. Download the Intellifire app to save yourself a lot of frustration.1. This goes through batteries way too fast. At least once a month.2. Screen is not very responsive. For something that came out in 2017, surprised they used this old technology.3. Screen shuts off after ~3 seconds. Bring your "A" game to move quickly enough through the menus or you have to start all over again.4. Did I mention it eats batteries? I think they must own battery stocks.I hope they come out with a newer remote. Sample rate of thermometer should be dropped to 1 or 2 minutes to save battery life.

This remote is slow, it blinks back to the main screen while waiting for it to respond to the fireplace. Its in constant need of battery changes every couple months.It frustrates me every time i use my fireplace.

We purchased this as a replacement for a remote that was lost and it has been working better than the previous remote! It takes some time to set up but works well!

This Majestic RC400 Intellifire remote replaced the old remote that was with the house we recently moved into. It appears to be identical to the old one but worked right away & I can access all the features. I don't know how old the other remote was or if the previous owners had any issues with it. Time will tell the longevity or durability of this remote.
