My dad wanted this product for finding where previous homeowners placed second septic system, it worked great! He used the same one while employed mason 30+ years before retirement , just wear thin soled sneakers or shoes, move slowly and you can find any pipe in the yard!

I didn't believe this thing would work but I was certainly astonished that it did. I have to say this as well, the utility company flagged our under ground utilities with those little flags and I picked up 2 of them and pulled the flags off and bent one end and held one in each hand and they too did the same thing and crossed at underground lines.
