Our fireplace is pretty much useless, since we prefer electric heaters instead. But when it gets cold, it lets in a lot of cold air as well as allow hot air to escape our house! So I’ve been trying to think of ways to close off the fireplace, but not permanently. This was the perfect solution! I purposely got a bigger size cover than the metal frame around the fireplace for a better seal, which means the top magnets won’t be functional. That’s not a problem, I just used heavy duty double-sided mounting tape to tape the cover on. The bottom magnets clung to the metal frame with no issues. It works perfectly! So glad I got this!

I have an electric fireplace and the top vent lets in big drafts in the winter and the summer and its enough to affect the temperature on the main floor. I had a magnetic cover for the lower vents but because the top vents can't fold in flat, it was hard to cover fully. This magnetic blanket is perfect for it. So far the magnets are holding up just fine, but I might use some heavy duty magnets just to reenforce it a little more, only because I have kids and cats and I’m afraid if anything bumps against it, it won't stay in place. Overall, I'm very happy with this.

The WELIDAY Magnetic Fireplace Cover is a simple yet effective solution for reducing heat loss and keeping cold drafts out! With strong built-in magnets, it easily attaches to iron fireplace frames, sealing off unwanted airflow and helping to improve energy efficiency during chilly months. What I Love:✅ Easy to Install – Strong magnets hold it securely in place.✅ Blocks Drafts Effectively – Keeps warm air in and cold air out.✅ Durable & Well-Made – Sturdy material that holds up well over time.✅ Sleek & Minimalist Look – Blends well with most home décor.Things to Consider:➖ Only Works on Iron Fireplace Frames – Won’t stick to non-magnetic surfaces.➖ May Not Fit All Fireplaces – Check measurements before purchasing. Mine was a bit smaller than the size I ordered. If you’re looking for a quick and efficient way to reduce heat loss, this fireplace cover is a must-have for winter comfort! ❄️🔥

This is exactly what every fireplace needs! Closing the flue is not a full stop to air transfer up and down a chimney so I am really happy to have come across this great energy saver. It was so easy to attach to my frame and chainmail safety screen it took all of 3 minutes! I have a large fireplace so I ordered the largest size and it fits just perfectly. The sewn in magnets grab the metal frame of the safety screen and 4 additional post backed push pins insure that the insulator stays put. Another great bonus I didn't even think about was how this keeps my cats OUT of the fireplace when not in use and prevents them tracking ash all over my hearth and floor. They are fascinated by this magical mystical wonderland of grey and white floating powder that is so responsive to their every move!🤦🏼♀️ 😆 I am so pleased that I ordered this item and highly recommend one for every fireplace that doesn't have glass doors or some type of insulated drape or cover. I can't wait to see what this does for my electric bill!

The Weliday magnetic fireplace cover/blanket in size 38"x26" gave sufficient coverage for my ugly fireplace. Other reviewers stated that the magnets held well for them, but they didn't work quite as well for me. I used double-sided tape to hang the cover. The blue pins are huge and hideous so hopefully you don't need to use them.

The largest, 45" wide size fits my 44.5" wide Heatilator fireplace exactly. Magnets are strong. The cover attached itself with no problem. There are a few small gaps between magnets, but I don't feel cold air escaping. The way my fireplace is made, it's better that the magnets aren't located at the very corners. The fabric does cover the corners. There are no instructions, but I'd read the product page and recognized that the pink pins are for reducing cover size if too big. Didn't need them (would've fabric-markered them black). The cover is simple construction, so it shouldn't cost too much. I could make a similar cover but probably wouldn't save much. It'll no doubt pay for itself fairly soon, saving on heating costs. So I think it's a fair price. It seems well made and looks much better than stuffing a blanket, etc. around the fireplace. Very happy with the product. Highly recommended for anyone with a drafty fireplace to which magnets will stick (and if they won't, adding pieces of hook-and-loop closure might be an option.) Wish I'd found this years ago.

Fireplaces can cause huge energy losses due to the stack effect. Warm air is drawn in, up, and out the chimney at the top of the house while at the same time creating negative pressure that pulls cooler air into the lower regions of the home through cracks. Even with a fire burning in the hearth, this process can still occur. You feel the radiant heat from a fireplace when standing near it, but others in the room may notice a chill. This was my main reason for trying this fireplace cover to save on energy use and cost.Right out of the package, I found a hole in this cover along the top edge where the seam was not stitched to the fabric. The hole exposed the thin batting inside. While the outer fabric feels durable, the overall thickness of the cover is not substantial. I measured my fireplace before ordering the 36 x 27 cover and expected it to be an extra inch bigger all around. Instead, it reaches the edges with nothing to spare. The cover comes with a set of large stick pin buttons in baby blue. Fortunately, I don't need to make any size adjustments, but if I did, I would want subtly-styled pins that matched the cover in black and not look like a wacky contrasting giant buttons. The quality issue may be a fluke in my case, but this cover is probably not the one I'd recommend to others.
