I was struggling to clean the glass of my fish tank. Black mold kept forming on the glass and was very difficult to remove with the tank scrubber I had. The magnet is pretty strong it actually made cleaning the tank a lot easier.

Can barely slide it across glass. But that means it’s actually working. My aquarium is small so the glass or probably thinner than most. Magnet is small so be sure to check the size. Perfect for me. Padding seems thick and stays on well.

I purchased this to enable me to clean inside a curio section that I could not reach as the sliding door covered the middle section when opened. This did the trick ? I am very happy to have purchased it

This works fairly well on light algae growth. I have to pass it over the same area several times to clean it completely. I think it is a little small for my 20 gallon tall but originally bought it for a smaller tank.The magnet is not strong enough to go around corners and will release if pulled out slightly but works ok. I have sand substrate and it will get in between the cleaning block and the glass if I touch bottom. I mainly use it on the front of my tank. I ended up buying a razor cleaner for the sides and back to take care of what the snails don’t. I continue to give them a chance to do their job but 🤷🏼♀️. I also use it to get the very bottom edge along the substrate.

I have to admit that I was not sure about this product when I bought it. But after having used it, I'm sold! It's so easy to use, and does a very effective job of cleaning the gunk from the sides of the tank. It can easily navigate corners (its actually kinda of fun to watch it "hop" as you transition to a new side of the tank), and clean-up is a breeze. It allows you to clean all the way down to the gravel line without having to stick a scrub brush in there. Highly recommend to any tank owner.

edit 6.2.24:I am sorry to have to reduce my rating down to one star.I'm using their largest magnet scraper on my 200 gallon tank to keep the algae at Bay and I can no longer do that because the razor blade scraper/holder won't stay seated on the end. it keeps on popping off. I've made sure the indent and tab are clean but nothing seems to help.edit 5.29.23 :ordered a new one after the other one started leaking. the new one has now been working for months with no issues so I'm upgrading my review to a 4 star. I'm withholding a star only because the first one was defective and I wish the magnet was a little bit stronger for my thicker glass.I have a 210 gallon aquarium and The Glass looks like it's about a half inch thick.this magnet scrubber seems to work great but in using it the first time I had a series of continuous bubbles emanating from the inside the aquarium half of the pair.strong magnetic attraction through the half inch glass seemed to work great on stubborn brown algae that has grown on the glass. some spots it took 10 or so passes of the inside scrubber to clean this stubborn algae off but I am pleased with the results.since my aquarium is about 2 ft deep the desire to have a floating magnet is key and my concern is the bubbles indicate water is going into the inside of the aquarium half.I may just have a manufacturing defect and will replace this unit for what I hope to be a better one from the same manufacturer.
