Great sound and super easy install. The hardest part was removing old muffler (getting it out of the hangers) but the install went fast. The only recommendation I have is to take it to a muffler shop and have the two seams welded rather than try and use clamps. They charged me 20$ per weld so 40$ total. Otherwise had leaks at both seams even with the Napa clamps recommended by others in reviews. I also paid the shop to weld rebar around exhaust and catalytic converter to help prevent theft. Exhaust looks and sounds awesome.

Fits like a glove on a 2017 Tacoma off-road. This cat system has larger diameter exhaust piping than stock. Have to assume less back pressure means better performance from engine maybe 3-5HP. Did notice 1-2 mile fuel savings always a plus. Nice deep sound at idle. Does fill cab with loud sound when on the gas 1 thru 3 gears then quietens. Overall nice look, sound, fuel savings and some performance.

First off, the installation of this was easy. I removed my stock unit on my 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and put this bad boy on in 45 minutes before I went in to work one morning. I really like the low end rumble and sound. The only thing I don't like is the drone at highway speeds as well at around 2500-3000 rpms. Hard to hear now after a 6 hour drive. I called Magnaflow and their response was that I should buy a larger muffler from them and it "might" help. Why spend over $500 on an exhaust system, only to find out that what I need is a larger muffler. Not very helpful.I'm looking now at adding a resonator to hopefully tone it down a little. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what I'll do.You really have to like loud noise to run this as is. I'll update my review if things change.

The pipes sound good in my 2018 Tacoma Sport. They sounds really great when taking off but when it hits around the 3 gear range and 1100- 1200 RPMs it gets really loud in the cab until it hits the next gear. Once out of that RPM range and in a different gear and just cruising they sound really nice. I just don't like how loud it is in cab when in 3rd gear and in RPMs specified above. I am really debating on returning them if I cant tone it down a little in the cab while in that range. My problem, I don't want it to sound like a car like it does in my opinion with stock pipes so it is a trade off plus their now installed. I read the reviews and many said they were loud. Well I ride Harleys and have Vance and Hines on both bikes so I know what good loud pipes sound like so I and shrugged off the reviews. Well they are right it loud and really annoying when in that one gear/ RPM range. The rest of the time they sound great. Any suggestions?

Hello fellow Tacoma owners. Just today I had the exhaust put on on my 2016 6-speed Toyota Tacoma. My brother is a legit certified technician at a VW dealership so I brought it to him so he can do the install for free. The initial fit was great. We aligned it all and then tightened everything from front to back as the directions required. Once it was all tightened we decided to lower the lift and start the engine. Once the engine was started we lifted it back up to let it run for a few minutes to see if there were any leaks. Well, guess what? The larger 3 inch clamp was as tight as possible, meaning you could not tighten it any more but there was some exhaust fumes leaking. The pipe which had the clamp around was pretty lose around the muffler. The whole exhaust wasn't as stiff as he would have liked it. I had to head out to a local NAPA parts store down the block in order to get a 3 inch u-clamp and a 2.5 inch one. The u-clamps can be set a little tighter than the clamps that are included with this kit. You don't want to overtighten either since you'll make the pipe oval and that will leak as well. You might ask why he didn't just walk into the parts department to get a u-clamp instead of me going to NAPA. Supposedly no VW exhaust is 3 inches in diameter so they don't stock anything this big. Hence why I had to make a NAPA run.I have a feeling that other people might have the same problem BUT they are just too excited to get the truck on the road that they don't actually test it. Or, their shop just puts it on and moves on to the next vehicle without doing a perfect job.Since this was put on by my brother you can be 100% sure that he was not going to cut any corners. The exhaust does sound nice paired to my manual transmission. I'd probably buy it again but I'm only giving it 2 stars since I had to run down the block to get new u-clamps and spend 7 bucks.Another mechanic came over and said "I'm surprised that the exhaust leaks being that it's a Magnaflow"

Fairly easy to install and sounds great! But I would recommend like the previous commenter to buy a 2.5in and 3in exhaust clamp from napa or nearest auto parts store. The clamps that come with the kit arn’t that great and leak exhaust. Other than that I’m pretty happy with the setup

As with all Magnaflow products the quality is outstanding. Fit perfectly and looks great. I'm not that pleased with the sound of my 2016 Tacoma. It's way to loud when pulling.
