Fit well and no issues with codes or performance. Bolted right up to the stock rear exhaust. I used new stock GM exhaust donuts, so I can't comment on the ones that come in the kit. Very happy overall.

I am extremely disappointed with this product. First, the good; the quality of materials and workmanship on this are great. It is very nice, solid welds and it looks great. However, none of that means anything if the product is poorly designed. I installed this in my 97 tahoe about 4 weeks ago and within 25 miles of driving I started having issues. When I installed it, I noticed that one of the downstream O2 sensors was very close to the frame. close enough that I was concerned however after reading all the good reviews I figured it would be ok and I would let it slide. I left my shop and by time I got home the engine was not running right and I had a check engine light. After a little searching I realized the issue was that the O2 sensor I was concerned about was in fact too close to the frame and the insulation had rubbed off and it was shorting out. This was a brand new O2 sensor and it was ruined. I ended up having to grind out a spot on the frame to make a replacement O2 sensor fit without interfering with the frame. It appears that the problem is that the factory exhaust system has a bend in it to move the exhaust away from the frame and make room for the O2 sensor whereas this one is straight. In addition to the O2 sensor, for some reason my exhaust is now destroying the gasket that goes between this section of exhaust and the rear section. It has blown out two in a three week period (see photos) causing exhaust leaks. This truck is 20 years old and was on the original gasket, the issues didn't start until the new cat set up was installed. I would also add that I am someone who is mechanically capable. I do all my own vehicle work and know how to install an exhaust.****Update: I just wanted to follow up on this already dismal review. After about two years on my truck, one of the welds broke where it goes into the cat and I had to get it warrantied out. The warranty process was somewhat of a pain in the a$$. To make matters worse, the replacement has also now had a weld on it break. This is ridiculous. Avoid this product at ALL costs. Due to the hassle from the warranty process last time, I am not even going to bother this time around. I am throwing this in the trash and going a different route. Learn from my mistake.

Great quality, perfect drop in fit, and much better flowing than the OEM cats and pipes. Good upgrade for an upgraded truck. Works really nice with a pair of JBA shorty headers and a Magnaflow cat back exhaust system.

1998 Chevy Tahoe LS 5.7L 4 dr. The Magnaflow 23453 was a perfect direct fit!The SS looks great and everything bolted rate up. The flat plate that bolts to the existing exhaust flat plate was perfect alignment but the old plate needed to be wire brushed down to the metal then it cleaned up well. I used Copper maniflod silicone sealent and coated the gasket and plates well. After 24 hours I tested and everything looks and sounds great with no leaks!

MagnaFlow catalytic converter looked amazing once installed in my 98 Tahoe. It sounded great, acceleration and power was improved. The reason why I rated this product so low is because after 2 1/2 year is started to rattle on the passenger side, this was very annoying. I kept driving my truck and two months after the initial rattling the other side got blocked and restricted air flow to my Tahoe. I took my vehicle to a shop to double check my exhaust system since I felt my truck was running with hardly any power after the rattling. It was confirmed by a certified shop, both passenger and driver side catalytic converter had collapse and it was indeed causing the problem. I expected this part to last longer then nearly 3 years.

This part fit perfect on my 97 silverodo 1500 and now my 99 yukon also very easy to install hardest part was getting the old bolts to loosen upUpdate as of yesterday the exhaust broke at one catalytic converter and also broke where it goes into the flange. It appeared to be the weld at converter but at the flange the pipe just cracked in half. Lasted me 7 years so I guess I got my money's worth

It arrived on time and it fit. Can't say anything about how durable it is since it has only been on for a few weeks.

I installed this on my 98 GMC K1500 x cab stepside with the full cat back Magnaflow exhaust system. The hook up is same as stock except the entire system is stainless steel which is great for long life. It was also installed with a set of JBA headers. All of the flanges are nice and thick and do not distort when you properly tighten up the mounting hardware. I did have too obtain stainless hardware for this from an outside source and not the typical hardware store stuff, all aircraft grade for long life and higher strength. I highly recommend this product.

I like that OEM or better type install... now welding required...Install was quick removal of old walker cat system took longer..But overall product was package decent came with all the gaskets and a warning about p0420?? anyway.. wish it came with new exhaust bolts.. came as a 2 piece system, install right side cat and exhaust first then install drivers side exhaust last, using the band clamp which looked pretty meaty to secure it.. good to have a friend for help but it is a one person job if your mechanically capable. Install was on a 99 k1500 with 235K miles... walker exhaust lasted about 52K and had 8 towing events and a X country towing from Cali to pa 2x..havent towed with this yet but boy truck feels very fresh....slight engine note difference from the older tired walker and engine picks up very quick now.....reason change is b/c i thru a code p0420 code or what ever it was related to cat efficiency. Overall it looks like quality and of course you have the name brand magnaflow stamp on both cats... cats so fresh it still have that smell : o )
