Numerous features are included with the “CR2” Valve including a proprietary designed Hastelloy Spring, Glass-Filled Noryl injection molded shaft, 100% Silicone Gasket and a Clear, serviceable lid. The “CR2” Valve is also equipped with a ½ lb. spring-loaded gate, allowing it to be installed in any orientation. The “CR2” valve is available in 1½˝ Slip, 2˝ Slip and 2½˝Spigot. Economy version without Hastelloy Spring available.

Just like everyone else I don’t want to have to keep cutting my pool plumbing because the spring on the check valve corroded/failed and you can’t get replacement parts. So I called the manufacturer and spoke with them to confirm which color valve to get. ~ The white one use to be the one with the upgraded spring, but they did some reengineering and the BLACK one is now the one that has the corrosion resistant spring. The best thing is they also sell the replacement parts so you don’t have to buy a brand new check valve for just the guts! (Yeah it would be great if it lasted forever but in reality nothing does.) I also asked how I could make sure I was getting a genuine ’Magic Plastics’ part and she told me their mark is on the valve. I’m happy to say the valve I received is a ‘genuine part’ and has been installed for a few months now. There’s no horrible waffling noise, leaks or any issues, it just works like a champ! If you’re looking for a check valve I totally recommend this one, and trust me I did sooo much research trying to find one that’ll last.

I had an issue of chlorine migrating upstream into my heater when the system was off. Tried an all plastic 2" check valve upstream of the chlorinator but it was not a positive shut-off when there was no flow. Tried this valve for this season and its Hastelloy Spring has been filling the bill perfectly. Should the internals fail in the future, the top can easily be removed and the parts replaced. Excellent value for the $.

This valve is awesome!. Works beautifully.I installed this on the suction side of my inground pool pump. No more priming the pump.The water stays completely full in the pool pump filter basket when the pump is off.I highly recommend this product.

My pool has one of these and the clear top was starting to crack at the screws. I ordered this and it was the same item on my system. I was able to remove the screws, top, spring, oRing and flap; then place them into my existing unit. No plumber needed! Thank you!
