This brand is of the poorest quality sold on Amazon. Replaced it less than two weeks after install. Couldnโ€™t get room humidity levels above 35%. Changed it out with a brand slightly higher in cost and immediately shot up to 60% on first fill of humidifier. You may not find a cheaper filter on Amazon, but you will definitely get what you pay for. Buyer beware!

We have always used the manufacturer's filters in our MAF1 humidifier but I was growing tired of paying the ever increasing price for what's essentially a fancy piece of paper.I'll admit that I was a bit hesitant to try these generic filters after reading some of the reviews here but after they arrived it was fairly obvious that they were of very similar quality to the brand name filters. We've been using one of these filters for about 6 weeks now (see photo) and it has held up quite well, although it will soon be time to replace it. Our water is on the slightly harder side of the spectrum and we refill the reservoir two to three times daily. Typically, Iโ€™ll replace the filter when I notice the fan running at higher speeds to keep the humidity at setpoint.Iโ€™ll give it 5 stars as itโ€™s comparable to the name brand. It fits properly, doesnโ€™t collapse, and wicks water up for evaporation.Considering the physics involved, I donโ€™t know how youโ€™d make a filter that could last longer. The lifetime seems to be determined by the water hardness and volume of water evaporated. We will definitely purchase these again.Side note: I noticed some reviews criticizing these filters for being too rigid to be installed properly. Just like the name brand filters, they need to be wet with water prior to installation. Afterwards, they are easily shaped and placed into the humidifier.

I just replaced the MAF1 filter in my AirCare Humidifier with this MAF1 filter. Purchased two of them, since that's what I will need until spring rolls around in 2025. This filter arrived folded over twice, so I just unfolded it, then rolled it up and placed a rubber band around it for about 20 minute4s in order to 'round it out'. That way it drops right in to the channel inside the humidifier. This filter doesn't have the metal band woven into the fiber mesh like the previous ones I've used. I'm not sure what the purpose of the metal band was, except perhaps to provide lateral support for the mesh fibers.Hopefully this MAF1 filter pair performs as well as the previous ones order last year. Delivery was slightly early. I would order this item again, under the assumption it performs as well as previous filters.

The filters seem fine if it's what you mean to order. I meant to order the MAF2 filters. These still worked after cutting a few inches off the end. The wicking seems good so far and the size issue was my fault so no complaints or problems.

I'm very disappointed because this filter only works for 4-5 days, then the humidity level drops. It's not worth the money, as the original filter is only $5 more and lasts for 3-4 weeks.

The filter seems to get filled with solids. I thought it might be the bacteriostatic i was adding, but it still gets solid with crystals, presumably from our tap water.
