Cannot tell if this is real wool, as my previous experience with wool products feel different than these socks. It is however, very thick. I’m sure it will hold up nicely.

These socks are high quality and 100 percent thick, warm wool. Unfortunately, they are really small. I wear a size 7 in boys and many 12-14 year old boys have much larger feet than that. I would say these socks might be more well fitted for a 6-10 year old

These are nice THICK merino wool socks, with lots of cushion in the form of terry cloth loops inside the sock. I got these because I have Raynaud's and my toes are always cold! The only thing that seems to help is wool socks. These are a bit shorter (above the ankle) than I normally like, but for around the house, they'll be fine. I could see these working well in hiking shoes and outdoors as well!The fit is a little strange, like they're "baggy" around the foot, but not the ankle, heel or toes. They do stretch quite a bit, so that doesn't bother me too much. I imagine they'll shrink a bit when washed (and air dried), so maybe then they'll hug my feet better.I have sensory issues, so the toe seams are a bit bothersome. I can't do much about it, but try to twist the socks so the ends of the seams don't hit me in the toes. It's almost a painful sensation to me, but is my problem, not the sock's. With regular uncushioned socks, I just turn them inside out when the seams bother me, but with cushion or terry cloth, that hack doesn't work so well. Other than that, I find these socks to be quite soft and squishy, and I've been wearing them in the house for almost 24 hours straight now. They are DEFINITELY keeping my miserable toes warm, so they're doing their job!

At first glace on product image, the cuffing seems off. I thought maybe this was just an odd photo. It's not. The cuffing is indeed off on these socks, where the front of the leg sits higher. It just doesnt look good at all. The heel placement also seems to be in an odd spot given the sizing, almost as if it was made for a small child (read: under 6) but the width of the sock is for a teenager.These are definitely wool, they are thick, well cushioned. They are warming, while still allowing sweat to escape. A good bonus.However, they do not feel like any merino wool Ive ever felt before. They are somewhere in between scratchy wool and merino wool IMO. A bit softer than most wools, but not by much.If you like wool, but hate that wool feeling - I'd pass on these.If you need a workhorse sock to keep your feet warm in the winter - these will do.

These are the softest socks I’ve ever owned! I was always wanted to try Mary a woman and I’m happy to be able to have these. They fit my feet perfectly. They are made for children, but not fit small so it works great for me. Doesn’t hold any older or sweat. That’s wonderful

Mixed feeling with this socks. The fabric is very nice and they seem very well made except for the fact that they have a weird shape, like to wide, I have never seen something like this. they are stretchy, I fit them on my adult size 7.5 feet but not quite right of course.The picture with the funky fit is my 6yo foot. The one that looks better is my feet. The heel wasn’t on the right place on my foot.

While these are made of nice wool material and will keep my 7 year old girls feet warm, the shape is very bizarre. They are just long enough to reach the ends of her size 2 big kid feet but there is not much stretch to them and they are very wide, and her feet are on the wider size, this is shaped to fit an elephant foot, I am sure they will shrink with washing, but as I said the length is already at its max, I don’t know how this could fit a 12 year old. For now they are fine and great for wearing in bed, which was the main reason I got them, for chilly winter nights.
