My kids love to wear these socks. We bout them for skiing and visiting the mountains and they worked well at keeping their feet warm and my kids liked how soft they were inside.

After I discovered how great Merino wool socks were, my entire family has been asking for some. These pairs were ordered for my 10 year old son. These are very thick socks, great for staying warm during the colder months. Some people might consider them more "boot socks" due to their thickness, but they will work in shoes, just getting a little snug.Having tried a number of different brands of Merino socks, these are definitely up at the higher end of overall quality, so I'm very happy with them. The quantity of pairs of socks to price ratio seems "just right" given their quality. The only thing that's a bit strange is that even at the bigger sizes, the sock sizes are listed by age instead of shoe size. I ordered the "10-14" year size, but I can definitely say there's no chance of them still fitting when my son is 14.

I ordered these merino wool hiking socks for my teens to use in cold weather and we are not at all disappointed. The 10-14 years size fits very comfortably for 2 of my kids and myself; our normal US women's shoe sizes range from 6.5 to 7.5 and there is still stretch available in these socks. They fit snug but not tight, exactly how socks should fit.The comfort level is surprisingly great! The inside of the socks is super soft and comfortable. There is no scratchiness or roughness like some wool socks have. They really feel more like I'd expect fuzzy slipper socks to feel than wool hiking socks! They are nice and thick but are smooth on the outside so they still slip into boots nicely.Overall, these are a fantastic warm sock choice for cold weather activities or just lounging around home in the winter. They have great stretch, fit nicely, feel lovely on, and work for both kids and adults.

I have never bought wool socks for my kids before and after getting these I am wondering why I have not done this sooner. They are great for going out in the cold weather and specifically under snow boots and dirtbike boots. We buy their boots with a little room to spare so it is always nice to have a thicker sock on and these are perfect while still keeping the feet cozy and dry.I bought the size 7 to 10 years and they fit both my son who wears a size 2 kids and myself who wears a women’s 4. He liked them so much that I decided I needed to try a pair, and that pair is now mine! I will be buying more in a larger size for my older son as well.

Edit: My child stomped through ice and submerged his feet in the ice water below. He was wearing sneakers with these. It was about 6 inches of water, almost to his knees. His feet were perfectly toasty when I got him into the house and took them off. Not even a little bit cold....I intentionally got a bigger size than fits my toddler, so they could go up to his knees. The sizing is accurate and they fit the way I had hoped. These are super warm! We spent 3 hours outside in 30F temps and when we came inside, my son's feet felt hot when I took these off. They should do well down to sub-zero temps under a good pair of boots. They are very thick, so make sure the boots are a size or 2 bigger than they would need in bare feet. These stay on well, and have the right amount of stretch. I washed them in warm water and dried on high heat, and they stayed the same size. No pilling or signs of wear. Excellent socks!

Nice and thick wool socks! My son appreciates warm socks during the winter here in the Midwest. These will do nicely with all the thick fabric throughout the sock. I know from my own experience with these types of socks that they don't always stay up the way that they should, but they will be more than sufficient when a boot is worn to hold them up. It's hard to find wool socks in my area. Even though we have horrible cold winters. I'm not willing to pay the price of local stores at $20 a pair so this was a bargain.
