It's aluminum so don't drop it. I like it's american made. It's a real straight edge and works on all of my guitars so far no problem. Great for getting the neck ready for some leveling work.

This is a great product for a good price. I selected this one because is was USA made and comes shipped in a tube which is a big deal for keeping it from getting bent. One caveat which is my fault not theirs: MEASURE YOUR SCALE LENGTH! I didn't do this and my cheap acoustics (Ibanez AC240 and Gretsch 9220) both have 25" scale length which won't fit. D'oh!Oh well, still a great product for the money. I'll use it on my other guitars.

What a great quality product at a great price. Shipped in solid tube so that it wouldn't get damaged in transit. Very accurate on both sides, and made in the USA! As one other reviewer noted, it is not perfectly polished and scratch free. My does have some minor surface scratches on both sides of it, but honestly who cares. I am sure that I will scratch this up far worse than how it came, and if your tools are all pristine, it just goes to show that you aren't using them. I will be buying more from this company in the future for other sizes. Heck, you can get all of the ones they make, for almost half of what some other companies are charging for just one.

Straight as well as can be, I suppose. The metal seems durable. On one side is your typical Gibson scale length - 24.75 and when flipped, it's your typical Fender scale length - 25.5.

Recently refretted two guitars with jumbo frets and needed both sides of this straight edge to check straightness of the necks. One was a Fender Strat (25.5" scale) and the other was an Ovation Breadwinner (24.75" scale), roughly the same as a Les Paul. Made it really easy to start with straight necks before I started checking fret level. Seems to be of good quality and not nearly as expensive as some of the other big name brand products. I like it.

Arrived way sooner than promised, undamaged, nice crisp edges that don’t cut, but are well defined. Highly recommended, will buy others of these brand.

I've bought another level from an Amazon seller, I something? Anyhow it didn't meet any of my requirements. A level that's possibly for a ukulele, which unfortunately I don't possess. So yes, you can buy from Stew, which if you are a professional luthier its essential. But for us not so much pros, this is the ticket. I was amazed at the attention to detail, as well as the thickness, fit and finish. Clean and it Works.

This is a nice tool, the notches are precisely machined, tried it on a fender and a gibson and spacing is perfect.most importantly it is straight, finish on the tool gives it a nice professional look and feelI've setup one guitar using this tool, was easily able to see that the neck without the strings had a back bow.Using this I was able to adjust the neck to perfectly flat, check and dress the frets.Nice low action now without the fret buzz, works much better than using the strings to check the neck.
