After replacing the SSD, you need to reinstall the operating system.
NVMe Adapter card is compatible with M-Key M.2 NVMe AHCI SSDs, Note: it is not compatible with SATA SSDs.
NVMe M.2 SSD Adapter is a DIY modification accessory, so please use professional technicians to operate it.
Note: Before installing the M2 adapter, please back up your data and prepare bootable USB disk driver.
Before installing the SSD Adapter, disconnect the battery from power at the battery connector location.

This NVMe adapter may work with certain older Macs (MacBooks), however, it wasn't recognized by my (temperamental) older MacPro 6,1 (late 2013). The NVMe M.2 SSD that was to be mounted via this unit was never recognized by my system (Mac OS Sonoma), although the proper EFI was exposed. Depending on make, model, OS, YMMV. Hoped this'd work ... it didn't.
