The nut thread chaser worked well but the cleaner for the boot did not work for the same sized thread.

After stripping a thread, I purchased this to try and reduce thread size and use a new nut. This item worked perfectly and I was able to get everything working again.

I used the die to rethread the wheel studs on my wife's Range Rover Evoque. It worked as well as I had hoped and saved me over $1000 for a new wheel hub since RR does not sell the studs alone. Highly recommend.

I stripped out the beginning 2 threads of a hub/ bearing assembly on my truck. I couldn't get the bolt in. This tap allowed me to rethread and clean up the rest of the threads. It saved me from having to buy another hub assembly. It's an exceptional value! Buy! Buy!

This tap has double crossed threads and can not be used to cut a thread. How bad can a product can get? This takes the lead so far in my 30+ yrs as a mechanic. It is convenient to get a next day delivery for a project, but this tap made the nut I had to re-cut unusable.I'd rather waited a few more days to get some quality product. They all cost around $10-$15, so it is not that this tap is very cheap in price.Stay away from this junk.

Used this to repair the high pressure power steering line and rack & pinion on my Maxima saving be a lot of time and money. Easy to use and cut perfectly. Quality tool I can keep in my box for future uses if needed

I bought a Mercedes Sprinter and the previous owner had cross threaded one of the lug bolts. I used this to chase the threads of the hub and bolt and they worked great. I used an adjustable wrench to turn the tap and put the die in a vice. Otherwise, note that these are on the larger side and the handles that come in a standard tap & die kit probably won't be big enough to hold them.
