- felt durable if not kinda heavy & stiff- color was rich- quality seemed good. I gave it to a friend and cant say more.I purchased this nearly 2 yr ago. I personally could not get past the scent of this particular wool. It sat in storage all that time, the smell was still there. So I gave it to a hunting friend.** I’ve have had several wool blankets. None smell like this. Oh well.

I like the blanket for keeping me warm. Wide size of blanket and durable. A heavy duty quality item. Value for money. Thank you,

Heavy duty and fire resistant.I use these on my GMG pellet smoker as a blanket in winter here in Colorado.Outstanding an no chance of this thing catching fire.Gets the grill up to temperature fast and saves on pellets.Waaaay cheaper than the factory designed ones and works on any pellet smoker.

The wool military camping blanket arrived in good packaging and in excellent new condition. Coming out of the plastic bag it had a pungent smell. Once it was out of the bag for about an hour the smell went away. I'm using this for sheltering my outdoor cats in their crates to protect them from the cold. The blanket is very heavy and of good quality.

Medium weight, it’s got a good navy dye. Yes, it has a smell when new, but give it a wash with some woolite, dry on low heat, and spread it out to let it air.. no more smell.I would like 100% wool, but for the price this is pretty good as an extra, or as a truck blanket

Great army blanket! It did have a mild smell of dye or something, but it disappeared after the first wash. Lots of lint in the dryer filter, but washes and dries great, is warm and well made. Great price too.

Good mid weight wool blanket. Out of the bag it does have a very strong odor that did not dissipate but filled the room. Took it to the laundromat and washed according to the label - i used synthrapol detergent which took about 75% of the odor out. I've had many wool blankets of many types and the odor is not typical of wool...this is definitely chemical.Anyway, with the odor reduced and the blanket laundered, the texture took on a softer feel and weighed maybe a half pound less but still a good substantial weight. The red is a nice deep red wine hue and has a bit of color variation in the fibers making it look a bit more organic which was what i had hoped for being that i was using it to make a medieval winter viking coat. This will definitely keep me very warm for winter events and since it is machine washable (delicate cycle) will be easy to maintain for a long time.Overall, this was a great purchase and as far as size goes, it was just large enough to make a M/L coat (48" shoulder to hem) with 3 27" wide gores. I'm sure the odor will dissipate further over time and will update this review in time if it does not

Very nice blanket, generous size, looks nice, warm and comfortable. If you like wool army blankets, this is a good choice.EDIT: 2-2-25 Still enjoying it a lot. Advice for those new to wool blankets and woolen items in general- you will see review after review of these blankets where buyers complain about their blanket being smelly. Well, that’s wool. It’s a natural product that comes off the sheep caked with lanolin. Some processors intentionally do not wash it all out. Some blanket manufacturers may also spray the blankets with fire retardant. So, if that’s a turn off, be forewarned. But this company has excellent military blankets.
