Save energy by using the Maestro Countdown Timer in closets, attics, basements, and other low-traffic areas to ensure a light or fan is never left on for a long time. Use the Maestro countdown timer switch on exhaust fans in places like bathrooms. Use the large tap switch to turn the timer on and off; use the rocker panel on the side to set the timer to the desired time-out option ranging from 5-60 minutes. Softly lit LEDs indicate the time remaining before turn-off. Complete the sleek look with a Lutron Claro screwless wallplate, sold separately.

Stylish, intuitive and easy to use. Install took around 20 minutes and the countdown timer works well.I really like that it has a “memory” of the last used setting so I always leave mine on the 30min setting.

Lutron makes good stuff. Buy from whoever has the best price. Amazon had the best price today :)

Maybe I'm showing my age when I say it, but these are my absolute favorite timer switches for fans. I have these in every bathroom in my house now and I think they are fantastic. They work really well. They look great with matching Lutron dimmers.A minute before shutting off they have a feature where they will shut offand turn back on quickly which is nice because it lets you know that you're about out of time.

Love how I can just turn my fan on now and leave without worrying about it being on all day. Easily set the time and just let it run. I don't worry about any mildew or mold growing in my bathrooms.

Not sure what I missed the first installation try but once I removed, turned it around, and reinstalled it worked perfectly. Will buy again for additional bathroom fans.

Purchased this to replace my basic on/off switch and I wish I had done it sooner. You can set the timer to whatever you prefer or manually turn on and off. I usually opted to turn it on and have it run for a full 60 minutes. The switch worked perfectly and it lights up to show you where it's at. Buy it!

Purchased this item to go alongside a Lutron dimmer & standard switch. The function is elegant and useful, easy to change the time looks great along the other lutron switches. Note that Lutron switches fit the standard junction box bays but the switches themselves are a bit narrower so you may wish to remain consistent if you're adding a Lutron switch to a two-or-more-gang box.Note that these style of timers require a dedicated power feed to operate (they won't work if you don't have a dedicated power supply that's not switched by the timer).

The Good:• Fits perfectly into a standard existing decora/decorator-style switch plate.• Installation instructions are clear• includes wire nut for ground wire (previous switch had ground wire attached to screw)• Does what you want - turns fan on and off, and time remaining display is pretty clear and easily adjustable• One of the simplest, best-looking designs in this product categoryThe Not So Good:• The push button has a bit of wiggle to it – you can tell it's just a decorative plate loosely in front of a tiny momentary switch button• The white is slightly different than the P&S Legrand switches I have it installed next to (but it looks better than the Legrand version of this timer, so we'll live with it)• Requires neutral wire for installation, which is actually a good thing, so it can work with more efficient fans and doesn't have to draw its power through the fan motor itself 24/7, but it doesn't include a piece of wire to hook that up with, I had to go scrounge some up. Make sure you have appropriate gauge electrical wire to install this with, because unless you're replacing an existing timer switch made for efficient fans, you probably don't have a spare neutral wire just hanging out in your switch box.The Other:• This one could be good or bad really, but I would have liked to know about the 1-minute warning, where it cuts power to the fan for ~1 second when there's 1 minute remaining on the timer, I don't love it, but it is effective at communicating that if you want the fan to keep running, you've gotta add more time.

Just installed it but so far so good! Very intuitive interface, love it.I started with 2 black wires and one ground on my original flip switch. I also had a bundle of 4 white wires all wire-nutted together jammed into the back of the box. I used the black wire that was on the top screw of my original light switch and put that on the top screw of the timer. I put the other black wire that was on the lower screw of my original switch onto the lower (black) screw of the timer. Then green to green using a wire nut that was provided with this switch. Then I used a small extra piece of white wire, 12 gauge solid, and added it to my bunch of other white neutral wires, creating a group of 5 white neutral wires. They are all wire nutted together with a large wire nut I had to buy. Then I connect that short white neutral to the middle screw of the switch, and everything works great! Not sure if it is correct, but seems to work.Fits easily in the box, it doesn't take up much more room than a regular switch. A small indicator light glows at all times, showing what time setting it is currently on. Then when you hit the big square button, it turns on the fan, and the indicator light blinks. When the time is almost up, the indicator light blinks faster, which is nice.
