ELECTROMECHANICAL TIME SWITCH

I didn't look up the brand of the last timer I bought on Amazon, this is a cheap imitation of a name brand product. The manual on off switch, even the automatic on/ off pins, are cheapand flimsy. The worst part is, there's no gap in the termination bar to fit the ground past the terminals, so it crosses over them, and the plastic protector over the terminals is held out, difficult to reach threads with the tiny, short screwsThe first picture shows the issue with the ground wire, the second picture shows how a well made timer is constructed. The name is visible in the second picture, that's the one you want, I don't think you're allowed to mention other makes in reviews, but the quality difference is night and day.One month update- zero stars, after 3 weeks of use it didn’t trip back on this morning, the trippers are both tight and in place, no idea how that can happen. If it happens again I'll have to replace it with an intermatic, I've had them running 10 years with no issues, the current one I'm running is 6 years old, never malfunctionedUpdate: so it gets worse, after a few months, the stamped time wheel sheared off from the gear driven shaft, no repair possible, worse than worthless. I added another picture.

When I bought this, it looked like the 30 year old one I had that controlled my outdoor lights. It soon became apparent that it was a cheap imitation. The first timer lasted 30 years, the second one lasted just over two years and it was ready for the land fill. Junk

after about a year of use the box wheel went lose and stop moving. I super glued it and it worked fine for a couple of months but now it just not turning anymore. I just decided not to use it anymore

The timer came new in box. It is hooked up to my pool motor so I can filter my pool on a time schedule. The timer was set and it tripped the motor off about an hour after it was set to trip. The next morning the timer wasn’t moving and never tripped the pump back on. Same thing happened again that night and next morning. It works as a good manual switch that I have to physically hit. Not a good timer at all. Wouldn’t buy this junk again.

The Tork timer is a great product. I bought it to replace one that was in use for 45 years, until the motor bearings started to make noise indicting undue wear. The new one was simple to install. Shut off the power, loosen the screws on the old one, mount the new one on the wall, place the wires in the same sequence on the new one, set the desired on and off times, and restore the power. Enjoy the product. I do.

bought this clock to replace a existing timer that lasted 16 years. Installation was very simple remove wires from old unit and connect them to the new unit. i found the lights would not come on. I checked, power coming in and no power going out. after several attempts and some time I found that the bar that makes the connection was not making contact and not allowing the lights to go on. i had to bend the bar to make the timer work.

My new Tork unit has only been in service for about two months and is already not functioning properly. The motor seems incapable of enough power to trip the switches. Waste of money.
