BundleThe strings come in a bundle. (See Photos)It looks like a mess but it easily comes apart.Once you remove the string you want to use. You may want to recreate that bundle. My MethodI took one side of the string group and twisted all the strings at one time while holding the other side steady.I did this four or five times to make the string group tight and easier to handleThen like tying a knot I made a loop. And passed the folded end of the group of strings through that loop. That’s it.I then put the bundle back in its storage bag.Search Online for using a Drawstring ThreaderI found one that covered all the items in this package.SweatpantsThis is the second drawstring for these sweats. My sweatpants do not have a casing that goes all the way through. It has two casings with each ending midway at the rear of the sweatpants. So pulling a drawstring threader from one side to the other will not work. When I put the first replacement drawstring in these sweats, I had to remove the old one. That is when I discovered that the string did not go all the way through.I had to make an opening at the rear of the sweatpants to remove the old drawstring.I then threaded the new drawstring from one side to the other, bypassing the middle of the sweatpants. (See Photo)It took that same process to get the new drawstring in place.Note. The string I replaced matched the color of the sweatpants. It was hardly noticeable. This time I used a noticeable colored string for this review. (See Photos)Hint. These strings have a metal tip that can get stuck while passing through the material. The usual method is to have the tip alongside the threader. (See Photo)When that did not work, I reversed the installation of the thread. It looked like it would not work, but it did work, in this instance. One last tip. I found that it is easier to remove this type of string by feeding the tip back through the eye of the threader.Instead of pulling it out the way it went in.Okay, one more thing. I did use a spring cord lock (not shown) because it prevents the string from being pulled into the pants. There have been times when the string is pulled into a hoodie or sweatpants. This usually happens during machine washing, but not always. These spring cord locks stop that from happening.

No issues whatsoever - these were fantastic hoodie strings for the hoodies I just made! Love the color variety - only wish would be to add black to the mix! Only had Navy, but otherwise fantastic mix!

I do love that I now have lots of replacements for my hoodies etc. However the tool broke immediately. The two holes are just too small. Many of my hoodies are by Tommy Hilfiger who often have a fancy large end piece that will never work with the tool you sent. I don't regret this purchase at all!! I will order another tool to use on regular sized ends and I bet I never again forget to tie a couple of secure knots on my Tommy gear- so I don't have to rethread or worse...lose one. At least now I have many to choose from!

Exactly what I wanted. Maybe more drawstrings than I need but I'm sure I'll come up with other uses.I bought them to use around the bottom of some boxy fitting tops. I folded the hem up and sewed a casing or used hemming tape to make a casing. Then leave a small opening on the left side of the casing (usually there is a seam) and run the casing through it. Tie the ends in a side bow. You could also have the strings come out the center front. I've used a product called Fray Check or clear nail polish to seal any holes I've had to cut in. There you have it! A boxy top transformed. I absolutely hate the front tuck, front knots, knots with rubber bands or hair ties to make a big top more attractive. The holes on 2 of the threaders are too small for these drawstrings. One worked perfectly. Tip from me: I've always used a large safety pin for threading.I will also use the drawstrings for pajama pants that I like to sew for my family. The length is good for my uses, but these could always be shortened by tying a knot in the center back or splicing the center back and securely sewing the ends together. I highly recommend these.

My son is extremely skinny, so I always need to add drawstrings to all his new pairs of pants. And these are absolutely the perfect solution for doing that. The range of colors is great, and it's a high-quality set. The feel and length of the drawstrings is good. Also, the "feeder" tool works well and you get a lot for the price. I highly recommend this set!
