Outstanding diff gasket. No silicone required, just clean surfaces and install to recommended torque value. Zero mess.

I’ve purchased two different gaskets from lube locker thus far, and both have worked flawlessly. Dreaded having the reseal two pumpkins for diff service, these made the job much simpler. I’ll recommend these to anybody, first timer or an expert mechanic. They are a no brainer

I have used over 30 Lube Locker Differential Gaskets on Dodge, Ford, Chev factory differentials and on a whole range of Dana Differentials -- 44s, 60, 70s, etc. These are THE best gaskets out there and I've never had a "return", never experienced any differential fluid leaks with these - plus they don't require additional "permatex" type sealants and work perfectly dry (provided you ensure both mating surfaces are completely clean).

Cleaning up the old OEM RTV took the longest time, but we all know this is time well spent. The gasket sleeve has a display of the bolt pattern and tighten sequence. Due to my training I use a two pass method. First clean all fasteners, then add a drop of blue locktite and install bolt on top to hold cover and gasket.Once all bolts are installed, hand tighten snug. For this application F250, I used 30 lb-ft torque. I torqued bolts down to 20 lb-ft first pass according to Lube Lock pattern on the sleeve. Second pass up to 30 lb-ft. Wait a few minutes and third pass at 30 lb-ft as gasket material compresses and bolt stretch take upany movement of gasket material. The third final pass will give some very minor movements, maybe 5-15 degree turn which will now hold at set value.Used same technique for rear differential with another maker of gasket material. A four hour round trip at 65-85 mph got drive train up to normal operating temps and no issues, all secure, no leaks, good for another 30k to 40k miles. Thanks Lube Locker for saving us the headaches!Oh, PS the price of one gasket versus one tube of gear oil RTV is just a few dollars. What a great trade off.
