I ordered this because it said it was 99.96% pure nickel, I tried to use it to forge a knife and it melted at around 1700*f. I have used pure nickel before for this and nickels melting point is around 2400*f so I don’t think this is actually pure nickel. Gave it 3 stars because it wasn’t really intended for this purpose. Just a warning to knife smiths, this will not work for blades.
