Your cart is empty.Unlike typical under saddle pickups that are dependent on string compression for their sound, the Element was engineered to mirror the soundboard's actual movement as you play. At the heart of the pickup, a flexible film sensor only 2 thousands of an "thick picks up the guitar's most delicate nuances. Tracking the motion of the top rather than a direct string attack suppresses "quack" caused by compression and unlocks the Element's unrivalled dynamic range. The pickup's minimalist construction lessens any influence on the acoustic properties and creates an intimate coupling between the pickup and guitar for the highest fidelity possible.

I run sound for an acoustic live music venue full time and finally offered to throw one of these in a friend’s Taylor guitar since the element is consistently good. Let me tell you it turns the junk Taylor pickups (the new ones not the old Fishmans) into priceless sounding guitars. I recommend them to every single artist I work with who has a bad pickup.

Switched out from a fish an matrix. More natural sound and the controls are very nice.

Produces a very natural sound, just like my D-28, only louder. I was a little intimidated, drilling and filing on an instrument worth a few thousand USD, but taking it slow and using only hand tools, I accomplished the installation in two days. Nota bene: the online instructions appear to be for a slightly different, or possibly older, model and references a "fig. 8" that doesn't exist.

I added this to a guitar that did not have a pickup. The install was fairly easy but it did require some drilling so be careful. The pickup is very good. It is clear and picks up the nuances in the sound. The volume and tone controls work well and allow for nice basic adjustments. I would buy it again.

Only dislike is battery pouch inside your guitar with musicians on stage n battery failure not an easy replacement task to do

Absolutely fantastic preamp and fairly straight forward to install! I show the install and demo on my YouTube channel derekpaulguitar you don’t need any real expertise, just take your time with it, incredible sound that improved the sound of my $300 Ibanez AC340

Having owned guitars with this pickup system installed I was confident in choosing the LR Baggs product. It simply sounds great and performs flawlessly.Installation was straightforward. However, it's important that you, the installer, are confident in your ability to use proper tools efficiently. Mistakes here could become huge quickly. All said and done - the new guitar sounds great amplified, as good as the professional or factory installed pickup systems.Very satisfied, will use again, would recommend to others.

Just got done installing this and I am pretty pleased with how this sounds. I didn't experience any issues like some have with an unbalanced volume but you must take care to install properly. Installation was fairly easy for me but I been working on geetars for awhile now. Might not be for a novice. It definitely has a piezo sound but it has a little "extra" to it. Fingerstyle sounds really good on it. To me it seems like the volume and tone controls are backwards so I keep wanting to turn it up and it goes down but that will just take some getting used to. I mounted on the underneath of the top edge of the soundhole. Pretty pleased with the simplicity of this

First I'll start of by saying i am a beginner guitarist, having only been playing just over 2 years, however this under saddle transducer is the best compliment to my 1999 Guild D-4. The sound is incredibly warm, but still able to squeak out the high tones. it sounds like the sound is resonating from the body of the guitar right out of the amplifier. This is the best available option for musicians that are looking to pick up the natural tones of your instrument. When recording through the transducer, the notes are clear and strong, with no muddled sounds, and the sustain of each note is long and vibrant. I play out of an older Pevey BASS amp, and if its up past half way on the volume, the guitar begins to resonate and feedback but the sound is clear and loud by then. Have not played on a stage infront of a live audience yet, however i expect it to perform marvelously.
